CHI Power Plus Revitalize Vitamin Hair & Scalp Treatment is effective in its ability to nourish, soothe and stimulate the scalp, and it helps give hair more volume. It has a wonderful minty aroma, but it is neither cloying, nor long-lasting. It is, however, very refreshing.

Advanced treatment formulated with Nettle, Red Clover and botanicals rich in vitamins A, C, D, E which promote a healthy scalp. This combination of ingredients helps to soothe, refresh and stimulate the scalp while promoting thicker, fuller-looking hair.

Directions: Apply directly onto the scalp and massage with finger tips to ensure even distribution. Do not rinse. Use as part of a daily regimen.

Overall Assessment: This system does a thorough job cleaning and exfoliating the hair and scalp, and then nourishing and moisturizing it. My hair looks and feels really good when I use this system, and it effectively eliminates all product buildup without stripping my hair. It is a very well thought out system, and I'm quite impressed by its efficacy.

TIRTIR Collagen Lifting Eye Cream is another discovery I have made from this wonderfully affordable Korean beauty brand. This eye cream is formulated to lift, smooth, soften the appearance of fine lines, reduce puffiness and dark circles and moisturize the delicate area beneath the eyes. It has a steel ball applicator that offers a cooling sensation as it applies the eye cream. This eye cream doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes, and it leaves my skin soft, smooth, hydrated and luminous. Additionally, it softens the appearance of fine lines and it really feels wonderful to apply.

It is so easy to use and store, and it feels heavenly on the skin. Vitabrid C¹²: The Mighty Serums that are Even Better Together

I started using Vitabrid C¹² skin and haircare products quite a few years ago, and I have been consistently impressed by the efficacy of their products. Two of my favorite products are the Vitabrid C¹² Dual Drop Serum and the Vitabrid C¹² Wrinkle Serum, and what I discovered was that while they were fantastic on their own that they were nothing short of extraordinary when used together. 

I have found that applying the Vitabrid C¹² Dual Drop Serum first, followed by the Vitabrid C¹² Wrinkle Serum delivers remarkable results. The former, which is lightweight and fast absorbing offers deep hydration, light plumping and an ethereal glow. Ingredients, such as Hyaluonic Acid, offer effective hydration with lasting effects, while the thicker antioxidant-rich Wrinkle Serum smooths the skin and evens skin tone while fading hyperpigmentation over time.

I am such a huge fan of French Pharmacy skincare products, and have been as long as I can remember. Avène Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream is one of my most recent discoveries, and what a discovery it has proven to be.

Avène Cicalfate+ Restorative Protective Cream is rich, nourishing cream that is formulated to restore and protect the skin, and this gentle and fragrance-free formula calms irritated skin, moisturizes dry skin and leaves it supple and luminous. It is a very concentrated cream, and therefore only a small amount is needed to achieve the desired results. It has a cocooning effect as it envelopes the skin, and it feels really wonderful. If you receive your bottle and the cream has separated, and liquid comes out, vigorously shake it for a while so that the ingredients can reintegrate. While I have normal to combination skin, this cream is not too rich for my skin, and during the winter months when my skin was dehydrated, it worked wonders in its ability to restore moisture.

Overall Assessment: This is a lovely cream, and I will definitely purchase another tube when I finish this one!

Trader Joe's Vanilla Lip Mask Review

Rather recently, I was sitting in my office at work and my very dry and chapped lips were really bothering me. They were unsightly and red, and they actually hurt. It was freezing cold and raining, and I really needed some relief from the discomfort. I reached into my bag, pulled out my well used lip balm, and watched in horror as the balm fell out of the tube and fell onto the floor of my office. I stood there doing nothing, and finally picked it up and put it in the trash can. I needed to get a lip balm replacement immediately and I went to Trader Joe's where I found their Vanilla Lip Mask. I immediately bought it and used it. Frankly, I was in such discomfort that I would have purchased anything that they had, but this really appealed to me.

Trader Joe's Vanilla Lip Mask is thick, rich and immensely moisturizing. At $5.99 for a big container, I wasn't in the least bit hesitant about my purchase, but as I said, I was desperate for some relief. I immediately tore open the packaging and slathered it all over my chapped lips, and it offered a cocooning effect with its thick, rich and non-sticky formula. It even has some shine to it, and that would normally be amazing, but given how unsightly my dry lips were I wasn't anxious to accentuate them. However, the good news is that I felt immediate relief, and within a day my lips looked and felt much better. Now that my lips are completely healed, I will say that I like that this can function like a nourishing lip balm with some shine. I have heard some people state that they consider this a good dupe for the Laneige Vanilla Sleeping Lip Mask, but I don't have the latter to compare them.

Overall Assessment: At $5.99, this was a great purchase, and it really healed my lips up quickly. If you have chapped lips, or just want a good lip mask, then I recommend putting this on your grocery list for your next trip to Trader Joe's!
