Winter Dry Hair & Scalp? Try These Easy Tips

My hair and scalp have been unusually dry this winter, and If you are experiencing the same issues, then here are a few tips to help:

1) Switch to a moisturizing shampoo that works for your hair type.

2) Do not shampoo your hair every single day. Go as long as you can comfortably go between shampoos. If that means using a dry shampoo, make sure that it is one that doesn't dry out your hair or scalp.

3) Wash and condition your hair using warm, rather than hot, water. This makes a huge difference for me.

4) Instead of using a conditioner when you wash your hair, switch to a hair mask. This offers far more moisture and will help with your dry hair and scalp.

5) If your hair still feels as though it needs a bit more moisture, use a leave-in conditioner. I like to use leave-in conditioning sprays, and they also really help to detangle as well as nourish and hydrate my hair.

6) If you heat style your hair, then cut back on the number of days that you do it each week.

All of these tips are really working for me, and they are making all of the difference in the way my hair looks and feels this winter. What are your winter haircare tips?
