Splurges from the Westman Atelier 50% Off Warehouse Sale

As you have probably already figured out, I am a big fan of Westman Atelier makeup and brushes, and I have been steadily collecting from this cruelty-free luxury brand. Over the last couple of years I have collected all of their beautiful makeup brushes, and numerous bits of makeup, and when Gucci Westman announced her collaboration with Skultuna, I was immediately interested and intrigued. Skultuna is a 400 year old Swedish luxury brand known for their truly extraordinary brasswork, and the collaboration between these two luxury brands is quite amazing.

During the Westman Atelier 50% Off Warehouse Sale (that I announced HERE), I was thrilled to see that the Guld Plattan Vanity Tray and Guld Kuppen Makeup Brush Cup.

Guld Plattan Vanity Tray (shown above): According to Westman Atelier,

Crafted with Skultuna, the 400-year-old Swedish luxury brand known for its exquisite brasswork, Guld Plattan is designed to showcase all of your makeup essentials. This special collaboration brings exquisite craftsmanship—and a touch of gold—to your beauty ritual. Consciously crafted with an inlay of apple leather, which acts as a plant-based and high performance alternative to leather that maintains a buttery smooth texture. A sustainable and cruelty-free material, apple leather helps reduce our overall carbon footprint.

The golden, mirror-like finish of the brass is achieved from a unique spinning technique, perfected by Skultuna over centuries of production. Brass is a living material that will oxidize with time. To maintain integrity and shine, buff with Skultuna's gentle metal polish and a dry cloth as needed.

A sustainable alternative to leather, repurposed from the byproduct of apples. From the fruit’s rich pulp, an innovative and environmentally friendly piece of leather-like fabric is created that is luxurious and buttery in texture. Dimensions measure approximately 1.6" x 9.8" x 9.8"

This gorgeous polished brass tray, with its lovely apple leather inlay in red, is such a gorgeous and exquisitely crafted piece, and I am so thrilled that I purchased it!

Guld Kuppen Makeup Brush Cup (shown above): According to Westman Atelier, "This timelessly modern brush cup is the vanity accessory you didn’t know you needed. Crafted with Skultuna, the 400-year-old Swedish luxury brand known for its exquisite brasswork, the Guld Kuppen Brush Cup is designed for storage of Westman Atelier makeup brushes. Skultuna’s heritage pieces have been a favorite of Gucci’s for years. Now, this special collaboration brings exquisite craftsmanship—and a touch of gold—to your beauty ritual." The Gold Kuppen is heavy, beautifully made, and it is an absolute heirloom piece that can be handed down from generation to generation.

Overall Assessment: I am so happy with my purchases, and can't wait to share my pictures and thoughts with you. I am in the process of photographing these two beauties, and will post my reviews of them soon.

  1. Wow, that innovative bright red tray is incredible! At first, I thought it was a blush compact opened to show the color. And it's made of apples as well. Truly amazing!

  3. Wow, Lola, how beautiful! I don't think I have room for them, but I want them anyway if I can only think of a way to fit them in. The problem is that I have too much makeup. What do you do with all your extra makeup? I don't have a drawer in the bathroom. Nor do I have a dressing table. But I do have overflowing makeup with brushes in the middle of my plexiglass makeup organizer. Thanks for making me think about how I might reorganize - Angie, www.yourtrueselfblog.com

    1. It is such a wonderful, and elegant, way to store what you use the most! I have a makeup vanity in my bedroom, and I store my favorite makeup in there, but I only store what I use the most on top of the vanity. This tray is perfect for my most used brushes, but we will see if I switch it around a bit. It was such an unnecessary splurge, but I am so glad that I treated myself! I highly recommend Westman Atelier products, and this collaboration with Skultuna is brilliant!
