Illuminessence Make Me Blush Tinted Lip Balm and Blush Review

I recently discovered Illuminessence, a clean beauty brand, that uses safe ingredients that I feel good about using on my skin. I have been testing several of their products, and I am impressed by their efficacy, ingredients and just how enjoyable their products are to use.

About Illuminessence,

Janna Fackrell founded illuminessence in January of 2017 after reading in a scientific study that Europe had banned 1,328 chemicals from cosmetics, while the United States only banned 30. So, illuminessnece was born! Skin is our biggest organ and what we rub into it matters, because whatever chemicals we use seep into our bloodstream.

Janna's  husband is a dermatologist who has helped her create all the specialty formulas to assist with various skin ailments, help with aging, sun spots, acne, etc. Therefore, all of their products are dermatologist tested and approved. They only use all-natural, organic products and the only preservative they use is Eco-Certified in compliance with Organic Labeling. 25% of Proceeds Benefit Sacred Hearts Healing Center, a 501c3 nonprofit.

Illuminessence Make Me Blush Tinted Lip Balm and Blush is described by the brand as a super moisturizing lip balm and blush. Available in 6 tinted shades, these balms offer a veil of natural color that is flattering. The shade that I have, Make Me Blush, offers a pretty light pink flush of color. It can be used as a tinted lip balm or blush, but it is quite emollient and it is more effective on my lips than on my cheeks since I have normal/combination skin. As a lip balm it is ultra-hydrating and it heals chapped lips leaving them nourished, soft, smooth and comfortable. It has a wonderful luminous shine with the lovely wash of color, and it looks more like a lip gloss than a lip balm. It offers the perfect amount of cushion that makes my lips feel pampered and comfy, and it has a warm and creamy aroma from which one detects the cacao butter. 

Directions: Apply to lips as well as cheeks for a naturally beautiful  tint to brighten your face.

All Organic Ingredients: Beeswax, Shea Butter, Cacao Butter, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Micas and Essential Oils.

The average chapstick tube is about 0.15 oz. and this is 0.5 oz.

Overall Assessment: If you love tinted lip balms with healthy ingredients, then this is definitely worth trying.
