Prada Cat Eye Optical Glasses ($301.00 from Nordstrom): The color of these amazing frames is called Opal Astral, and it is essentially a stunning blue gray shade that does look a lot like the blue found in an opal. It is a bit more complex than one might imagine, and it has a chameleon-like quality that allows its shade to appear a bit different depending upon the lighting and the color of your clothing. These frames are sturdy and elegant, and utter perfection! The logo is in gold lettering, but it isn't too prominent, and my hair covers it most of the time.
According to Nordstrom,
Shapely cat-eye frames elevate these Italian-made optical glasses with a sharp modern style.
Total quality as point of departure, constant innovation without abandoning tradition, searching and selection of materials combined with impeccable manufacturing. These are the product characteristics of this brand, an icon of "Made in Italy," founded by Mario Prada in 1913 and later developed into an international business by Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli.

Love the shape of the frames. I like the little slight cat eye on them. ANd I'm so curious how that opal astral color looks in person! It sounds beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe shape of the frames is perfect for my face, and the quality is fantastic. It took no time for my optometrist to fit them with my prescription lenses, and they are just great glasses! I will take a picture of the frames outside in the natural sunlight so that you can see the color better!
DeleteThese are great looking frames. I wear prescription glasses but always love glasses like this.
ReplyDeleteI wear prescription glasses too, and replaced their non-optical lenses with my prescription lenses.
DeleteThese eyeglasses look very classy! I appreciate you sharing your finds with us. Thanks! - Angie, www.yourtrueselfblog.com
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angie. They really are lovely frames, and even better filled with my prescriotion lenses!
Deletesophisticated, stylish and elegant!! Enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Allison. I am very happy with my purchase– especially since they are now outfitted with my prescription lenses!
DeleteI’m so glad they work for you! Unfortunately I need glasses all the time.
ReplyDeleteI do too, and I had my optometrist replace the non-optical lenses with my prescription. They are truly wonderful!
DeleteHow clever. I never thought of doing that. Will in future look for frames outside the optometrist's shop.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Hilda! It is definitely a game-changer because if your optometrist has a limited selection of frames, you can find what you want elsewhere and have them fitted with your prescription lenses!
