Press Sample (Unaffiliated Links)

I just discovered a new-to-me New Zealand-based beauty brand, Essano, that makes an absolutely wonderful luxurious facial oil that is both exceedingly effective and affordable.

About Essano,

Essano skincare is crafted in New Zealand on the belief that everyone should have access to natural products that deliver amazing results but don’t cost the earth. To do this, they hand-select ingredients proven for their effectiveness and reject any harsh chemicals that could be unsafe. With one of the strongest free-from products promises in the world, essano guarantees what’s not in their products! They then have their own amazing in-house chemists, an on-site lab and own manufacturing facility to control every step of the process. Essano is proudly 100% cruelty-free and only ever tests on some lucky, lovely humans.

Essano Vitamin C Super Glow Facial Oil is a 5% Vitamin-C facial oil that is featherweight, fast-absorbing and incredibly nourishing and hydrating. It is formulated to boost radiance, brighten the skin, lighten the appearance of dark spots and to even out the complexion. Additionally, it leaves skin decidedly soft, supple and luminous. It has a very faint fruity/floral aroma, but it fades almost immediately.

According to Essano,

Harnessing the power of the super source of Vitamin C Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate to nourish and boost skin radiance. This low-irritation, easily absorbed Vitamin C Super Glow Facial Oil contains 8 natural oils and extracts including Turmeric and Jojoba to even out skin tone, lighten the appearance of dark spots and leave the skin glowing.

Benefits:

  • 5% Vitamin C
  • Brighten dull skin
  • 8 super oils and extracts for a radiant glow
  • Light & easily absorbed

Directions: After cleansing and toning, apply 3-4 drops onto fingertips and gently pat onto face avoiding the eye area. Follow with your favourite essano moisturiser or night crème. PATCH-TEST BEFORE USE. If irritation occurs, cease use and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin.

    1. Hi Angie, I do too. Vitamin C is definitely an important brightener that protects the skin and evens tone. This is a good serum, and it isn't prohibitively expensive either, which is so nice!

  4. I never know what to do first. So the toner goes first and then the serum? I’ve been doing it wrong 🥹

    1. Toners should go after cleansing and before serums, then moisturizers after that.
