Ooh La La, which is a new-to-me brand, is one of my most delightful recent discoveries. Everything about this brand speaks to me. The creator and CEO is a truly inspirational woman, and her products are healthy, effective and an aromatic delight to use. If you try one new-to-you brand this year, I urge you to make it Ooh La La. 

About Ooh La La,

Beverly R. Perry is the creator and CEO of Ooh La La Skin Care LLC. She graduated from Talladega College where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English. She attended and graduated Temple University Beasley School of Law where she excelled in Moot Court receiving the Moot Court Award upon graduation. After passing the Pennsylvania Bar Exam, she worked several years for a Philadelphia Legal Service Plan where she began as a staff attorney and was elevated to the position of Director. She went into private practice for a few years and later worked for Florida A&M University College of Law in Career Planning and Development and then as an Instructor for Academic Success and Bar Preparation.

It was while employed with the Philadelphia Legal Service Plan that she was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. After the surgery, chemotherapy treatment, and recovery she was led to create our first product the Body Butter and Moisturizing Cream. According to Beverly, she wanted to use a whole organic product on the largest organ of her body, the skin.This product was for personal use only and it was not until she became an instructor that she realized her purpose.The creation of Ooh La La Skin Care. The company’s motto is Made with Nature. Blessed by God!

Ooh La La Bay Runner Silky Foaming Hand Soap ($6.50 for 8.5 oz. from Ooh La La): This beautiful soap is really silky and creamy to the touch. It thoroughly cleans the skin, without ever stripping it, and it leaves hands beautifully moisturized, but without an oily residue. The scent is truly divine– it is a delectable spicy orange and one can detect an amalgam of patchouli, clove and cinnamon.

Ooh La La Naomi Body Wash ($17.00 for 16 oz. from Ooh La La): This otherworldly body wash features a truly captivating aroma that is underscored by rose, bergamot and vanilla. The spicy floral sensibility is warmed up by the creamy and rich vanilla, and it smells so delightful that I would happily wear it as a fragrance! This soap thoroughly cleans, has a very satisfying creamy lather, and it leaves skin moisturized, but without an oily residue.
