I am a big fan of FOREO, and think that their devices are just brilliant. I recently tested the FOREO ESPADA Blue Light Acne Treatment device, and I was thoroughly impressed by its efficacy. I should preface this by stating that I do not have acne, but I do periodically have tiny breakouts from hormones or from a negative reaction to products that I test. As luck would have it, soon after I received the ESPADA I had a  negative reaction to something, or some combination of products that I was testing and that resulted in a few uncomfortable pimples. I usually just spot-treat with a clay mask or targeted treatment for breakouts, but I decided to try this instead, and it worked quite well! In fact, my breakouts had noticeably reduced in size and redness after a single treatment, and were gone after a couple of treatments. 

After you wash and dry your face, you simply turn on the ESPADA™ and aim it so that your pimple is in the center of the light. The Blue LED light and proprietary T-Sonic™ pulsations automatically activate once the device is in contact with the skin. You only have to hold the device on your pimple for 30 seconds, and the built-in timer will pulse to let you know that you are finished. You can treat the same pimple up to four times, if you need to, or you can move onto the next one.

When you first unpack your FOREO ESPADA, you will need to download the FOREO App on your phone to register and unlock your device, and then you will need to charge it. Directions: 

STEP 1 (Prep): Before using ESPADA™, make sure your skin is clean & dry. For best results, we recommend using LUNA™ to cleanse your face.

 

STEP 2 (Target): Turn on ESPADA™ by pressing the universal button, and aim it so your blemish is in the center of the precise targeting light.

 

STEP 3 (Treat): Blue LED light & T-Sonic™ pulsations will activate once the device makes contact with the skin. Hold the device on the blemish for 30 seconds, until the built-in timer pulses.
