I marvel at the magnificence of blooming trees, and the visual tapestry that they create with their varied colors and textures. The juxtaposition of the bright yellow blooms of the Gold Medallion Tree (Cassia leptophylla) and the fuchsia Crepe Myrtle (Lagerstroemia) are a sight to behold.
Oh my goodness, what a gorgeous backyard you have! I love the trees in LA, many are so different from the ones we have in New England. I don't think I have ever seen a crepe myrtle that is that large, just spectacular. Your Gold Medallion tree is similar to a tree we have here called Gold Chain tree that blooms in the spring/early June but with hanging gold chains of flowers.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Allison! The trees in LA are pretty spectacular, and so many things grow here! My Crepe Myrtle is quite big! I am going to have to Google the Gold Chain Tree that you have in New England– it sounds stunning!
DeleteSo beautiful! Is that your backyard? Love that it's grassy and has nice shady trees!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Claudia! Yes, it is my backyard! We really enjoy tending to our yard and hanging out in it all year long! We definitely need some good sized trees for shade because it gets so hot here!
DeleteThe golden blooms are especially majestic!
ReplyDeleteThey are really stunning, and the birds, bees, butterflies and squirrels flock to this tree!
