This month is a bit unusual for me because all nine of the products that I finished up were from my shower, and that is a first! Of the nine products, six were types of exfoliators. I had not intended for this to happen, but it just so happened that I had a lot of almost used up exfoliators in my shower that needed to be finished before opening new tubes and jars.
Haircare
KORRES Almond and Linseed Mask: This nourishing hair treatment mask is formulated to penetrate dry, damaged hair, and to add much needed moisture to unruly tresses. Hair is left soft, hydrated, frizz-free and shiny. Purchase Again? I would, but I think that it may have been discontinued. It is no longer available on the Sephora or Korres websites.
Giovanni 2chic Brazilian Keratin & Argan Oil Ultra-Sleek Shampoo ($9.95 for 8.5 oz. from Walmart): This shampoo, which is color-safe, neither strips the hair, nor does it leave behind an oily residue. Instead, it works overtime in its ability smooth unruly hair, fight frizz and add shine. It has a delicious, warm and creamy nutty aroma. Purchase Again? I like it a lot, but I have so many other shampoos to use, including a few others from Giovanni, that it will be a while before I purchase more shampoo.
Christophe Robin Purifying Scalp Scrub with Sea Salt ($53.00 for 8.33 oz. from Sephora): I have had a few sample jars of this purifying scalp scrub, and I am utterly obsessed with it. It cleans and exfoliates the scalp and hair, but without drying or stripping. It has a light lavender scent, but it is barely noticeable. According to Christophe Robin, it is: "a scalp exfoliator and shampoo that cleanses, removes buildup, and soothes sensitive, flaky, and oily scalps." It does precisely what it claims, and its dense and creamy ultra-luxe lather makes it a joy to use. Purchase Again? ABSOLUTELY!
Skincare
Derma E Purifying Gel Cleanser with Marine Algae and Activated Charcoal ($15.50 for 6 oz. from derma e): This dark gray, charcoal-laden, lathering cleanser effectively draws out impurities and deeply cleans the skin without stripping it. It refreshes the skin and hydrates, and leaves skin soft and supple. This is an ideal daily cleanser for people with combination to oily skin, and those who battle breakouts. It can also be used as needed by people who periodically want to draw out impurities, I don't think that it is ideally suited for dryer skin types. Purchase Again? I already have another tube!Scalisi Skincare Cleanser and Exfoliator: is an utterly superb 2 in 1 cleanser and exfoliator! The gentle and smooth microbeads are suspended in a clear non-foaming gel that moisturizes and softens the skin while effortlessly lifting dead skin cells. Skin is left soft, supple, hydrated and luminous. It is gentle enough that it can actually be used daily. Purchase Again? I have a new tube that I just opened! I would buy it again, but I think that it might have been discontinued. It is no longer on their website.
Trufora Triple Action Exfoliator ($45.00 for 2 oz. from Trufora): This is a really effective fine grit exfoliator that is gentle and non-irritating. It left my skin incredibly soft and smooth without stripping to drying. Purchase Again? I have a lot of open jars and tubes of exfoliators, but I would definitely consider repurchasing this once I make a dent in my stash.
PUR Joystick Exfoliating Deep Pore Cleanser ($26.00 from PUR Cosmetics and Ulta): PUR Joystick Exfoliating Deep-Pore Cleanser has proven to be one of my favorite skincare products in my travel bag. It is so easy to use, easy to travel with and it delivers extraordinary results. You simply wet your face and then gently massage this stick over your face. It forms a super creamy lather, has the perfect amount of exfoliating particles and once you rinse your skin you will be so happy by the extent to which it leaves skin soft, clean and exfoliated. Given that it is a solid stick, you don't have to worry about spillage in your bag– making it a perfect travel companion. Purchase Again? I love this stuff, and would definitely buy it again.
Body Care
Dove Pink Beauty Bar ($2.99-$12.99 for 2-14 bar packs from Target and Walgreens): This creamy cleanser contains ¼ moisturizing cream to help make skin soft, smooth and hydrated. It doesn't strip skin in the least, nor does it leave it taut. Purchase Again? YES! I have many extra bars!
SOL de Janeiro Brazilian Bod Buff ($25.00 for 5.41 oz. from Sol de Janeiro, Sephora, b-glowing, Revolve, Dermstore and Cult Beauty): is a 2-in-1 exfoliating body mask and scrub that is formulated to detoxify and exfoliate the skin and leave it unbelievably soft and smooth. It has a sweet aroma, which is described as an "addictive signature Cheirosa ’62 fragrance of pistachio and salted caramel"– that is utterly delicious. You can either use it as a regular exfoliator in the shower, or you can apply it to dry skin as a mask and then hop in the shower and reactivate it as a body scrub. Either way skin is left unmistakably soft, supple, smooth and luminous. Purchase Again? Oh yes, definitely!
Overall Assessment: There you have it, the sum total of what I finished this month, and I posted it a little early because I know that I won't finish anything more up in the last few days of March. What did you use up or toss out in March? Any real duds or winners to report?Press Sample and Purchased. All views expressed are categorically my own (Affiliate Links).

This is a good reminder that I need to use up more stuff before buying more!
ReplyDeleteDoing empties posts has that effect on me as well. It makes me far less wasteful, and a much more well-reasoned consumer!
DeleteYou finished a lot. I'm proud of you. I haven't finished much in March other than a shampoo and a few face masks. I haven't touched makeup in 3 weeks so not even a mascara got finished.
ReplyDeleteI definitely did a much better job than last month! I haven't worn any makeup at all for the three weeks that I have been home every single day!
DeleteI need to try that Derma E cleanser
ReplyDeleteIt's a solid performer, cruelty-free and so affordable! I love their products!
DeleteI'm always surprised Giovanni products don't get more blog love. I haven't tried that range, but will have to remember it.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, I have often thought that as well. It is such a great brand, and it is so often overlooked!
