As you have no doubt heard, Barneys New York will be closing its stores, and they are currently having a Friends & Family Sale through Tuesday, November 19. The sale is online and in-store, and all sales are final (no code is necessary). There are some brand exclusions, but the sale is store-wide.

Hi Helen! Any idea what happens after the F&F sale is over? Will it reset to just the amount it was on sale before or will the site shut down? Not getting any answers from CS so I thought you might know. Someone mentioned that the discount won't go much lower in beauty as they'll just RTV it all (which I believe). So sad.
ReplyDeleteHi DivaMum <3 From what I have read, they will continue having sales until they close, but I don't know what type of percentages we will see. My guess is that the SA aren't necessarily being told the whole closing sale strategy by the entity who is liquidating the assets (which differs from the entity, ABG, who bought the licensing rights to the BNY name). I am not sure how far they will discount cosmetics, but I suspect that you are right that they could just RTV. Also there are brands such as Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton who contractually prohibit their products from being discounted in this closing sale. The whole thing really is very sad.
