I have managed to collect a lot of brushes over the years, but more recently have migrated away from animal hair in favor of cruelty-free synthetic brushes. My recent brush obsession is the Jane Iredale Dome Brush, which comes in two versions: one with a rose gold ferrule and Naturon synthetic bristles (vegan) and the other with a graphite ferrule and goat hair bristles (not vegan). I have the rose gold ferrule with Naturon synthetic bristles, and think that tit is a really fantastic multipurpose brush.
It measures just shy of 6 3/4" from end to tip, and it is very nicely balanced. The handle is wood and the ferrule is metal, and neither are too heavy causing the brush to be cumbersome. The synthetic Naturon bristles are densely packed, and soft against the skin, but they are not so soft as to prove ineffective. Instead, they pick up and apply powder products with ease and blend them to perfection. The domed head is neither too pointy, nor too blunted– and the shape naturally lends itself to the application of blush and bronzer.
Rose Gold: Naturon (Vegan) Shown above and below.
Graphite: Goat Hair (Not Vegan)
According to Jane Iredale, "A multipurpose brush with a soft, dome tip. Use to apply and blend blush or bronzer."
Details:
- A soft, medium-sized, dome-shaped brush.
- Luxuriously soft.
- Use for highlighting with our bronzers or shimmer powders.
- Available in goat hair (graphite) or Naturon (rose gold).
