Lanolips 101 Ointment Multi-Balm Coconutter

Lanolips 101 Ointment Multi-Balm Coconutter is a very thick, rich and dense all-natural lanolin, coconut oil and vitamin E balm that is multipurpose. It can be used on the lips, nails, face, cuticles, feet, nasal passages, on insect bits, and anywhere that you have dry and chapped skin. It can either be warmed up between the fingers, or applied directly to the parched skin, but it is quite concentrated, and therefore warming up the tiniest bit will make the tube last much longer. So far I have used it on my lips and cuticles, and it has left my skin remarkably soft, smooth and deeply moisturized. Lanolips Coconutter is described as embodying "summer-vibes in a tube"– however, there isn't a pronounced scent or taste that I detect. This is a magical healing balm for anyone with serious chapped skin in need of some TLC, moisture and healing.

According to Lanolips,

An all-natural lanolin balm with coconut oil and vitamin E. This multipurpose balm can be used on anything from dry cuticles, cracked heels and dry nasal passages to treating windburn, cold, chapped cheeks and insect bites.

Lanolin is 100% natural & animal cruelty free. It’s found on the wool of sheep that helps keep their coat protected and dry throughout the year. Sheep’s wool grows continuously; if it’s not sheared annually the fleece will become soiled – and too hot and heavy for the animal. Lanolin is the animal-cruelty-free by-product of wool washing after shearing.
According to Lanolips, Lanolin is a unique, natural ingredient that works in 3 magical ways:

1. The molecular structure of lanolin mimics human skin lipids, making it the most skin-compatible ingredient around. More so than any other natural or synthetic ingredient in skincare.

2. It is semi-occlusive and semi-permeable – meaning it allows skin to self-hydrate from within.

3. It is a moisture reservoir, holding up to 400% its weight in moisture.

Directions: Warm the ointment between your fingers or apply directly onto your lips and skin. Use generously or as often as needed.
About Lanolips,

Founder Kirsten Carriol discovered the moisturizing power of lanolin as a child during visits to her grandparents' sheep farm in Australia. Years later, she used the cruelty-free wool byproduct and natural moisturizer to create Lanolips. Free of artificial fragrances, parabens and petrolatum, the brand's selection includes lip balms, hand creams and other ultra-nourishing treatments.
Natural Beauty & Wellness products are free of sulfates, phthalates, parabens, petrochemicals, mineral oil, silicone and talc; also free of PEGs. Cruelty-free. Made in Australia.

Coconutter: "An all-natural lanolin balm, with coconut oil & vitamin E. A magical dash of 100% natural fruit extract of Coconut Oil and Coconut Milk, both of which are rich in antioxidants. Giving you summer vibes in a tube."

Ingredients: 100% NATURAL: Lanolin*, flavour (aroma)*, tocopherol (vit E), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil)*. *naturally derived.
Overall Assessment: This is definitely an impressive remedy for chapped lips, and it really seals in moisture and effectively banishes all signs of dry skin.

  4. I tried an unscented one a long time ago but it had an unpleasant scent to me. I think coconutter would be much better and I would definitely warm it up now that I've been taught.

    1. I think that you would not find this one unpleasant, Marcia! It definitely helps to warm it up because not only do you use less, but it also melts into the skin/lips perfectly once it achieves body temperature.

  5. Sounds like a great year rounds product. I would definitely use this on the sides of my fingers in the winter because they get so dry and cracked.
