That it is the first day of spring means that I am thinking about warmer weather, and therefore this is the perfect time to introduce you to a wonderful sunscreen from MyChelle Dermaceuticals.
I prefer mineral sunscreens to their chemical-laden counterparts, and not only is MyChelle Sun Shield SPF 28 Coconut a full spectrum UVA/UVB mineral sunscreen, but it uses translucent Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. Therefore, there is no pesky white residue, that is incompatible with makeup, with which to contend. Furthermore, it contains Vitamin E and Aloe Vera in conjunction with a potent blend of antioxidants that protect and calm the skin. It boasts a lightweight formula, with a clear matte finish, and it can be used on the face and body. It has a light and pleasant coconut aroma, but it is faint and does not linger.
Made without GMO, Gluten, Parabens, Petroleum, Phthalates, Sulfates, Ureas, Artificial Fragrances, and Artificial Colors. Vegan. Cruelty-Free. Reef safe.
According to MyChelle,
Mineral-based sunscreen with Aloe and Vitamin E to soothe and protect. Sun Shield Coconut SPF 28 is an environmentally safe, full spectrum UVA/UVB sun defense that offers powerfully effective protection for face and body. Translucent Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide provide a safe alternative to harsh chemical sunscreens. The addition of soothing Aloe and a high-performance blend of antioxidants, including Vitamin E, helps reduce the signs of sun-induced irritation. The lightweight formula absorbs quickly for a smooth, clear, and matte finish. Gentle enough for infants* and non-irritating to eyes. *Six Months or older.

I have a different MyChelle sunscreen that I'm really enjoying. Does this smell like coconut?
ReplyDeleteTheir sunscreens are so effective! Yes, this one does have a very light coconut scent, but it does not linger.
DeleteSounds wonderful! We've been having some sunny days so hopefully spring will get here soon!
ReplyDeleteIt really is, and I highly recommend trying their sunscreens.
DeleteSPF 28 isn't high enough for me, but it sounds nice ingredients wise.
ReplyDeleteSPF 28 is a little low for me as well since I tend to use a 30, 35 or 50, but I do find this one to be quite effective.
DeleteI prefer mineral sunscreens too. Here in Hawaii, chemical sunscreens will be banned in full effect by 2021
ReplyDeleteI think that it is fantastic that chemical sunscreens will be banned in Hawaii by 2021 (we need to keep our oceans safe!).
DeleteI would like the matte finish! Otherwise, my oily skin rebels!
ReplyDeleteI think that you would find this sunscreen quite impressive and effective.
