Nyakio Baobab Lip Balm ($22.00 for 0.50 oz. from Ulta): This is my favorite new lip balm because it has been so effective in its ability to quickly heal my winter-chapped lips. It has a thick consistency, but it effortlessly melts into the lips and spreads, coats and protects them with ease. It isn't in the least bit tacky, and it boasts the perfect amount of cushion for comfortable wear. It leaves lips very soft, smooth, hydrated and healed. There is no discernible fragrance to this lip balm, and therefore it should pose no problem for people with sensitivities to scented skincare products.According to Nyakio,

Years ago in graduate school, I was told that baobab trees were endangered so I was wary of using products that contained that ingredient. But it seems that things have changed, and I need to try it. Nyakio sounds like a stellar brand that I must try.
ReplyDeleteThat's very interesting! Doing a cursory Google search, it looks as though some of them continue to die off.

On my vanity is my Nyakio eye cream for daytime use. I need to add that lip balm now to my vanity especially since it's fragrance free.
ReplyDeleteI need to try the eye cream. These are the only two products that I have tried, but I think that I am going to try a few more things that Ulta sells!
DeleteThat lip balm sounds divine!

DeleteAmAzing lip balm. A little goes a long way$!$ LITERALLY melts into your lips leaving just enough behind for subtle shine and moistness all day! I got this in a beauty subscription box; had NO IDEA it was so expensive... but it's worth it.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you! How lucky that you received it in a subscription box! It really is ultra concentrated and the way that it melts into the lips is sublime! Definitely worth the splurge when the tube is empty!
