The new limited edition Shu Uemura Holiday Collection, La Maison du Chocolat, is both breathtaking and utterly delectable, and it features one of the most beautiful eyeshadow palettes that I have seen for this upcoming holiday season. I have most of the collection, and will be sharing the rest of what I have at the beginning of next week, but I was simply so excited about this palette that I had to share it with you now.
La Maison du Chocolat Ganache & Praliné Eye Shadow Palette is available in two lovely color stories: Dark Cacao and Framboise Berry– of which I have the former.
First, if you haven't experienced Shu's powder shadows, you are in for a real treat. They are ultra-finely milled, creamy and silky to the touch and beautifully pigmented. They glide across the skin effortlessly, deposit color evenly and they blend like a dream. Dark Cacao consists of a combination of shimmer and matte shades that offer a good balance between warm and cool-toned colors.
The 8 shadow palette includes a mirror the full-size of the lid and a small sponge-tip applicator and dual-sided brush. Both tools will suffice for travel, but I much prefer using higher quality full-size brushes.
According to Shu Uemura,
Limited edition palettes feature 8 special eye shadow shades, exclusively designed for Shu Uemura 2018 holiday collection with La Maison du Chocolat.
Mix and match the irresistible shades for festive eye makeup looks. with a package inspired by a box of assorted chocolates, each palette features deliciously fragranced colors with silicone-coated powders that glide smoothly onto eyes.
Choose: Dark Cacao for bold chic looks or Framboise Berry for more sweet elegance.

Love the shades in both of these. I used to collect Shu but once it left Nordstrom the temptation was gone. The quality though is worth the steep price.
ReplyDeleteMe too, and the quality is absolutely amazing! I know, I miss the days when Shu was at Nordstrom.
DeleteThis reminds me of Too Faced. The gold shade swatched beautifully
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean, but I find the textures and pigmentation more luxurious than Too Faced. Yes, the gold shade really swatches beautifully!
DeleteWow! It doesn't look like much in the palette but your swatches are stunning!
ReplyDeleteIt really does swatch so beautifully. The quality is really superb!
DeleteI haven't tried Shu Uemura eyeshadows, but your description of this adorable, portable, neutral palette is making me salivate!
ReplyDeleteTheir eyeshadows are phenomenal, and such a pleasure to use. I really love this palette a lot. This is the only holiday collection that I have actually gotten excited about so far this season. There is just something so rich and luscious about La Maison du Chocolat! I am posting a review of the remainder of the collection next Monday (minus a few pieces that I do not have), and it really is breathtaking– right down to the lovely chocolate scented lipsticks!
DeleteI doubt I need more neutral/brown shadows, but this looks so perfect! The whole collection looks is calling me.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Bailey– nor did I, but this one has quickly become one of my all-time favorites. I wish that it wasn't LE! The whole collection is incredible. I am posting most of the collection next Monday, and I am just thrilled by the concept and execution. Shu makes such incredible makeup!
DeleteI haven't tried their shadows yet but from the name alone I know I'm in for something good. That cranberry shade has me wanting this palette!
ReplyDeleteThese shadows are amazing. The color story for this palette is so easy to wear, and that cranberry shade really is LOVELY!
