I am such a fan of Erborian, and the more products that I try, the more that I want to try. Their BB and Crèmes are among my all-time favorites (Reviewed HERE and HERE), and now I can unequivocally assert that their skincare lives up to the quality of their lovely BB and CC Crèmes.
According to Katalin Berenyi, President and co-founder of Erborian,
Erborian, 'Herbs of the Orient', was born from the meeting of two women with a passion for beauty. Hojung Lee, a Korean scientist, dreams of sharing the world of Korean beauty and beauty products with women across the globe. Katalin Berenyi, a true beauty globetrotter, tirelessly travels the planet, seeking out the beauty secrets and rituals of the countries she visits. 'When I created Erborian with Hojung, it seemed the obvious thing to do. Women all over the world have one thing in common: a beauty that is unique, genuine and natural.'
Erborian Double Mousse Gentle Cleansing Foam ($28.00 for 3 oz. from Erborian and Sephora): This daily foaming cleanser has an emollient and creamy texture that thoroughly cleanses the skin without ever stripping it. Simply apply it to dry skin and leave it alone for about 30 seconds, then add a little water and gently activate the lathering foam, and then thoroughly rinse. My skin is left very soft, smooth and hydrated. It has a very light and clean aroma, that isn't in the least bit overpowering, and therefore it shouldn't pose an issue for people who avoid heavily fragranced skincare products.
According to Erborian,
A daily foaming cleanser enriched with traditional Korean herbs for a visibly refined and luminous complexion.
This foaming mousse cleanser is a two-in-one formula, helping to eliminate impurities and visibly refine the skin's texture for a flawlessly smooth and radiant look. Enriched with seven Korean herbs which help to soothe the skin, this rich formula is gentle enough for daily use.
Directions: Apply two pumps of the mousse to dry skin. Leave on for 30 seconds and rinse away with water. Use in the morning and in the evening every day.
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Coco-Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Sodium Citrate, Panthenol, Butylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Polyquaternium-7, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, Limonene, Linalool, Citral, Ci 19140/Yellow 5, Ci 42090/Blue 1.
Erborian Ginseng Milk Milky Face Lotion ($39.00 for 6.4 oz. from Erborian and Sephora): This milky lotion is thicker than water and toners and thinner than a lightweight lotion, but it delivers serious moisture to the skin. It has a light and milky texture and it immediately melts into the skin leaving it very soft, smooth, supple and hydrated. If you have combination or oily skin this may provide all of the moisture that you need, but for the rest of us it should be applied after cleansing and before a moisturizer. It has a light and fresh aroma, and it does linger for a while, therefore if you are very sensitive to fragrant skincare, you might want to get a sample to see how you feel about it first. I find that the scent disappears altogether after about five minutes.
According to Erborian,
A milky lotion that is enriched with the moisturizing and smoothing properties of Ginseng to improve the appearance of skin's texture.
Featuring a unique texture that’s thicker than water yet lighter than a cream, this silky, nourishing milk helps to provide the skin with moisture. Renowned in Korea for its moisturizing properties, powerful Ginseng provides a smoothing and tightening effect, improving the appearance of skin’s texture day after day. Skin feels softer and looks smoother over time.
Directions: Apply to face by patting with fingertips every day, morning and night, after cleansing, and before moisturizing with your day or night cream.
Ingredients: Water, Propylene Glycol, Trimethylolpropane Tricaprylate/Tricaprate, Glyceryl Stearate, Cyclomethicone, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Dioscorea Villosa (Wild Yam) Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Kigelia Africana Fruit Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Equisetum Giganteum Extract, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Peg-100 Stearate, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate, Stearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Palmitic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Stearic Acid, Silica, Carbomer, Arginine, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum/Fragrance, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal, Cinnamyl Alcohol, Citronellol, Geraniol, Eugenol, Limonene, Ci19140/Yellow 5.
Erborian Solid Cleansing Oil ($39.00 for 2.8 oz. from Erborian and Sephora): This is absolutely my holy grail solid cleansing balm. Erborian refers to it as a Solid Cleansing Oil, which it is, but it has the consistency of a light balm. It removes everything, and I mean everything, and it does so exceedingly gently. You simply apply a small amount to dry skin, massage it in a circular motion, and then add a little warm water and then rinse. Adding the water is where the magic really begins because it transforms into a delectable milky emulsion. Once rinsed, you will note that your skin is indescribably soft, smooth, supple and hydrated, and it neither strips the skin, nor does it leave behind a greasy residue. You can double cleanse by following up with your favorite cleanser, but I don't actually find it necessary. It has a light clean and green aroma, but it dissipates quickly.
According to Erborian,
A balm cleanser that transforms twice during use to whisk away impurities for skin that feels perfectly cleansed and makeup-free.
This all-in-one cleanser and makeup remover is the perfect first step in either morning or night regimes to clean skin and help remove even the most stubborn traces of makeup and impurities. Formulated without the use of mineral oils, it blends coconut and sunflower seed oil to help leave skin soft, clean and comforted.
Directions: Take a small amount of product with the spatula. Apply to dry face avoiding contact with the eyes and massage with circular movements. Massage warm water on to the face and then
rinse off completely.
7 Herbs Complex with Green Tea, Wild Chamomile, Licorice, Centella Asiatica, Japanese Knotweed, Skullcap, and Rosemary: Known for its soothing properties.
Ingredients: Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Mipa-Laureth Sulfate, Laureth-3, Cera Alba/Beeswax, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Laureth-7 Citrate, Glyceryl Dibehenate, Centella Asiatica Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Ophiopogon Japonicus Root Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides Citrate, Tocopherol, Tri-Behenin, Glyceryl Behenate, Tocopherol, Butylene Glycol, Aqua/Water, Parfum/Fragrance, Limonene, Linalool, Ci 42090/Blue 1, Ci 19140/Yellow5.
Erborian Pâte au Ginseng Black Concentrated Mask ($22.00 for 0.50 oz. from Erborian and QVC): This is a really refreshing mask that plumps fine lines, improves the overall texture of the skin and leaves it soft, smooth, supple and lightly hydrated. After cleansing, you simply apply a small amount and massage it into the skin, then leave it on for about 10-15 minutes, and then rinse with warm water. The longer that you leave it on, the more that it dries down, but it never becomes taut or uncomfortable. The results are immediate, and once you try it you will reach for it again and again. It has a light and clean aroma that isn't overly assertive.
According to Erborian,
Formulated with Ginseng root, used for ages in Korea to help fight visible signs of aging, PÂTE AU GINSENG helps improve the appearance of skin's firmness and elasticity through its tensor effect.
With a concentrated dose of Ginseng, and its instant tensor effect, this mask helps your skin feel firmer and smoothes out the appearance of the skin, providing immediate comfort and vitality for tired complexions. As if plumped from within, the skin looks visibly smoother, more luminous and younger.
Directions: Use twice a week. Apply a small amount to the face, massage into the skin. Leave on for 10 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water.

ReplyDeleteYou and me both, Cindy! Yes, I agree about their solid cleansing oil, and their CC Creme is absolutely one of my all-time favorites! I think that you would enjoy the Milky Face Lotion– it is quite nice.
DeleteLisa is the one that reviews Erborin for our blog since I find the fragrance just a little too much for me. But her raves make me want to try the brand again.
ReplyDeleteMany of their products are definitely fragrant, and may still prove to be too much for your sensitive nose.
DeleteI have been so curious about this brand! Now that you mention they have BB creams, I know what I want to try!
ReplyDeleteTheir BB and CC cremes are absolutely AMAZING! If you try one thing from the brand, that would be my pick. I have yet to try something from them that I didn't love!
DeleteI have tried samples of Erborian that I received in beauty bags, but I haven't tried any full sizes yet. I am such a fan of ginseng that the cleanser and the pate that you reviewed got my attention immediately! I have been using Sulwhasoo Ginseng Concentrated Moisturizer, but at $250 a jar, when I finish it up, that is sadly it. I will definitely be trying Erborian's ginseng offerings! Thank you for the review xo
ReplyDeleteI think that you would really enjoy using their products beyond sample sizes. They really offer a lovely range of skincare and finishing products. That Sulwhasoo moisturizer is definitely expensive. xoxo
DeleteI see this a lot at Sephora. I tried that balm when it first came out
ReplyDeleteThe balm is amazing! Yes, they definitely have a nice range offered at Sephora!
DeleteI haven't tried any of their skincare, but everything sounds so great. I've been on a cleansing balm kick, so I will definitely have to remember this one.
ReplyDeleteYou really must try their cleansing balm, it is AMAZING. It is lightweight, it emulsifies beautifully, it removed everything, and it leaves skin hydrated and comfortable.
DeleteI'm glad I read your review because if I had seen the Ginseng Black Concentrated Mask I'd have been turned off by the color and the ginseng. However, after reading your review it sounds like not only something I want to try but something I NEED to add to my routine! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that toy found it helpful. I definitely think that this masks worth checking out!
