Sad to report this finally happened to me. Placed my online order March 8th. Order processed/shipped March 9th. On March 13th received auto email item in my order had been cancelled -was the beauty event bag due to “limited inventory.” I am aware of the T&C “while supplies last” but cannot help but wonder whether my order was mishandled. Barney’s promoted the event through March 10 and continued processing orders for 2 more days?? Just very surprised as a consumer and loyalty customer. Lesson learned and will prefer to patronize SpaceNK in the future. Just had to share.
ReplyDeleteThat makes absolutely no sense whatsoever! The gift bags are still available online right now (and it's Wednesday!). You might want to call their customer service, if you still want your order! I am so sorry to hear that happened to you!
DeleteGreat suggestion. Just called and was told the online offer remaining active is “a glitch”, the event is over and Barney’s has no obligation to further address how my order was processed. Again, I am mostly stunned that a luxury retailer would not have better management of their operations and marketing promotions and had to share my experience.

If it were me, I would call back to speak with a supervisor to let them know that you were not only confused by the cancelled order, but that it was compounded by the response that you received when you called customer service.
DeleteThx Lola wanted to share the resolution. Heard from a supervisor told who apologized and stated they did have operational and execution issues with online orders during this spring’s beauty event. Confirmed the women’s bag was not available but had secured a men’s bag and offered to have shipped to me immediately. I accepted and explained, for me, it wasn’t so much about the bag/samples as I was frustrated by the lack of customer service. I am pleased with the outcome but wish Barney’s had been proactive in the resolution. The supervisor was very receptive of my feedback. Thx for your thoughts.
