Maple Holistics Winter Haircare Saviors

My hair gets very dry during the winter months, and I often opt to wash my hair every 2-3 days to avoid over-working it. To offset the effects of the cold weather, and therefore the havoc that it wreaks on my dry curly hair, I mask frequently, select nourishing shampoos and conditioners, and use a natural oil on my hair and scalp. I am currently using a couple of Maple Holistics products that are working wonders on my hair this season, and that I thought that you would like to hear about.
Maple Holistics Silk18 Natural Hair Conditioner (On Sale for $8.00 for 8 oz. from Maple Holistics and Maple Holistics Amazon Store): This is a lightweight, yet very nourishing conditioner that leaves hair manageable, hydrated, soft, frizz-free, smooth and shiny. It has a delectable warm and creamy vanilla aroma that lingers for a while before fading.

According to Maple Holistics,

Silk 18 gets its name from the 18 Silk Amino Acids found in its formula. No matter your hair type, our blend of essential oils and silk amino acids will smooth and soften your locks to shiny perfection. The natural vanilla scent of Silk18 is delicious and calming. Our products are free of sulfate and other harmful ingredients and Silk18 is no exception! We are proud to support The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence! For every bottle of Silk18 sold, Maple Holistics will donate $1 to NCADV

Ingredients: Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Argan Oil, Shea Butter, Certified Organic Pomegranate, Hibiscus, Green Tea and Sea Buckthorn, Silk Amino Acids, Jojoba Oil, Natural Vanilla Fragrance.
Maple Holistics Argan Oil (Regularly $25.00 Currently on sale for $14.99 for 2 oz. from Maple Holistics and their Official Amazon Storefront): Pure Argan Oil is one of my favorite multipurpose oils for the hair, face, body and hands. I always have a few bottles on hand, and often add a several drops to my body lotion to give even more moisture and nourishment to my winter skin. It is a fantastic face oil, one of my favorite oils to use on my cuticles and hands, and a great choice to use on dry patches of skin on the face and body. However, it is in its ability to tame frizz and fly-aways, nourish my hair and leave it soft, smooth and shiny that it really impresses me– particularly during the cold weather. It is an odorless, lightweight, fast absorbing, nourishing, and very high quality oil that is surprisingly affordable, and a pleasure to use.

According to Maple Holistics,

This oil boasts a myriad of benefits, including healthier hair, glowing skin, acne treatment, anti-aging properties, and stronger nails. You will see an overall increased vibrancy of skin, hair, face and nails.

Features:
  • Vitamin E and Fatty Acids: The properties of the Argan tree are preserved for natural healing.
  • Reduces Frizz: Moisturizes and tames unruly hair, and can even be used as a leave-in conditioner.
  • Improves Nail and Cuticles: A few drops of this oil can revive dry, dull, and weak nails, particularly those already dried out chemicals used in commercial manicure/pedicures.
Ingredients: 100% Pure Moroccan Organ Oil. Cold pressed and unrefined.
Overall Assessment: These are definitely solid staples in my winter haircare routine.
