I admit that I have a rather large collection of balms and salves, and am always receptive to adding new-to-me gems to my stash. I had been meaning to try C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve Nº 012 for quite a while, and was delighted when I found a tin waiting for me on my doorstep!
This miracle in a fetching tin boasts a gorgeous rosy hue and a delectably fragrant aroma that I would liken to a fusion of creamy vanilla and rose– which makes its use quite pleasurable. The emollient formula can be used on the lips as a traditional balm, but can also be used on the cuticles, elbows, knees or anywhere you have dry skin patches. As a lip balm it has a low sheen, and it feels very comfortable on the lips. If you do not like using petrolatum-based products on your lips, then note that it is the first ingredient on the list, but this formula definitely does an exemplary job healing chapped lips and other chapped bits.
