Longtime readers are no doubt aware of my love of TOM FORD Beauty, and TOM FORD Lip Color in Nude Vanille is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful peachy-pink nudes that I have ever tried. When I received the opportunity to work with Octer.com I decided to review to select this lovely lipstick from their website.
Octer.com is a really cool mobile shopping app that makes mobile shopping very, very easy. They offer a "seamless shopping experience" from your mobile phone, tablet or desktop computer, and they allow you to do all of your shopping through their website which links you directly to the retailers who fulfill your orders. Octer interfaces with many of the largest prestige retailers from Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Topshop, Net-A-Porter, to name a few. They also help consumers find the right product at the right price– saving you all of the leg-work.
According to Octer,
Since launching in December 2014 as a mobile shopping application, Octer has expanded to become a multi-channel platform, making not only mobile shopping simple but becoming a destination for fashion forward retail.
Octer provides customers with a simple solution to shopping, allowing them to buy everything in one place - hundreds of stores and thousands of brands from high street to designer, allow for a seamless shopping experience across mobile, tablet and desktop.
What Octer does differently is allow customers to quickly and easily compare their selection across every retailer, therefore allowing you instantly to look at similar products in various colours, styles and price ranges, all in one click.
TOM FORD Lip Color Nude Vanilla is nude peachy pink perfection, and while it leans warm in the tube, this gorgeous chameleon of a lipstick morphs once it warms up on the lips. On me, it becomes a touch more pink– which is preferable given my cool-toned complexion. I think that the tiny amount left in this bullet clearly demonstrates my love of, and devotion to, this beautiful lipstick.
This lipstick is creamy dreamy, highly pigmented, opaque in one pass (but buildable to maximum opacity and pigmentation), comfortable on the lips with the perfect amount of cushion, and it is just gorgeous. I find it moisturizing and very comfortable to wear, and the wear-time is quite good. If you love a great peachy-pink nude lipstick, then TOM FORD Lip Color in Nude Vanilla is an absolute must-have! While it is a splurge, it is really worth every cent!
Overall Assessment: If you are an avid mobile shopper, then you really might want to familiarize yourself with Octer.com– especially now that we are in the midst of the holiday shopping frenzy! If you love gorgeous peachy-pink nude lipsticks, then you really need to try Nude Vanilla!

Yep, Nude Vanilla definitely looks like my kind of shade.
ReplyDeleteIt is absolute nude perfection! This is my most-used lipstick!
DeleteI love this shade too. I like the lighter shades from Tom Ford and to me they are worth the splurge. They are the only lipstick brand I'll go all out on.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a great lipstick shade! I feel the same way, and for some reason have no trouble paying the luxury price tag, because this is a staple for me!
DeleteHi Lola! Could you compare this to the 2016 Alexander Lipstick and Boys collection? Wondering if this is a repromotion? Thank you so much! Loving your blog.
ReplyDeleteHi Alex & Katie Roorda, Thank you for your kind words about my blog! I am so happy that you are loving it! I'm looking over my swatches, and I first see Alexander appearing in 2015, and it is a very vivid, bright pink– quite different from Nude Vanille.

Beau is in the same color family as Nude Vanille, but it is actually a repromote of Blush Nude. Ian is another color that is in the Nude Vanille family, but it is far more of a nude, blue-based pale pink.
I hope that helps you! :-)
Thanks Lola! I think they released a new Alexander shade in the 2016 Collection and it looks so so close but without seeing it in person of course it's so hard to tell! Thank you for your feedback and getting back to me! (Ps: as you can probably tell Alexander is is my hubby's name and I've been eyeing Nude Vanille for awhile, so it would be fun if it were a repromotion!) Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteYes, you are absolutely right! I had forgotten completely that they changed Alexander from a vibrant pink to a pale nude pink! I don't have the latest version of Alexander, but I think that it is more pink than Nude Vanille. You definitely get more bang for your buck with the big tube, and Nude Vanille is one of my all-time favorite nudes. I am on my third tube!
DeleteAwesome and good to know! Thanks so much! Love the Nude Vanille color! :)
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure! Yes, Nude Vanille is a very special nude! I don't know whether or not you saw my recent post about my favorite nudes, but check this out so that you can see Nude Vanille swatched next to my other beloved nudes:
