Two days ago I had to bring Maximus to the vet because I suspected that he had a UTI, but learned, instead, that he had Urinary Crystals. Regular flushing quickly gave way to surgery, and this resilient kitty did exceedingly well. This video was taken by his surgeon yesterday morning– who is giving him some love. I get to pick my gorgeous boy up this afternoon, and can't wait to give him a big hug. Please vibe Maxi for a speedy recovery! xoxo
Feel better, Mr Maximus!
ReplyDeleteWe've been through the exact same ordeal before. After the surgery and some diet changes our boy was good as new. He's gone now (old age!) but I always keep the incident in mind, so I remember what to look out for in the rest of the fur family. First sign, and it's off to the vet!
Thank you!! What a bummer that you have been through this ordeal as well. Maximus is very happy to be back home, and I hope that he heals up quickly. So far he is eating the new food, and hopefully that he doesn't grow tired of it. I realize that this is a common condition among male cats, but it's the first time that I have experienced it! I hope that it is the last time as well! You are so right, first sign, and it's off to the vet!
DeleteFeel better, Maximus! <3 Purrs and meows.
ReplyDeleteThank you! He has another week before his stitches are removed, but he seems to be healing on schedule. It's hard keeping him locked up in the master bedroom, but he has to be isolated until the cone is off and his stitches are out! Thank you for your Purrs and meows! xoxox
