This file has three surfaces from which to choose: A course side punctuated by raised circles for rougher skin, a fine side for gentle filing, and a removable mini file at the end of the handle for small detailed work. For best results use on warm damp skin, and there is no need to apply much pressure because this is a very efficient tool.

Earth Therapeutics Triple Butter Organic Foot Balm ($9.99 for 5 oz. from Earth Therapeutics and Ulta): This is a lightweight, greaseless and fast absorbing foot balm that has the consistency of a light lotion, but the power to moisturize of a heavy balm. It has a mild scent that might be described as an amalgam of floral, herbal and peppermint aromas, and while not cloying it does impart a refreshing tingle. It soothes skin, exfoliates dead skin cells and leaves feet remarkably soft, smooth, supple and hydrated.
