There is no question that Zeus has a large fan-base, and why wouldn't he?! I receive so many email requests for Zeus posts, and am routinely told that Zeus posts are the perfect way to start (or end) the day,
Zeus is a delightfully demented character who is remarkably smart, and intensely idiosyncratic in many of his tendencies. When observing him, one can readily see the wheels turning as he thinks about what he wants to do. Therefore, on the one hand, he is contemplative and very much a cat prone to premeditated acts. However, he is also an errant male inclined toward impetuous acts, and erratic behavior. He can effortlessly leap seven feet, unassisted, and often runs full speed ahead and elegantly changes direction midway by banking off of a wall and gliding through the air. He is remarkable.

DeleteZeus' eyes certainly are remarkable too! Does he have one green eye and one blue eye? White cats often do have different color eyes. He looks very composed, not demented in the least ;)
ReplyDeleteHis eyes are remarkably beautiful, and yes, one is blue and the other is green. White cats often do, but he's a Van Cat, and they often have two different colored eyes. What is remarkable is that they are indigenous to Lake Van, and their traits are naturally occurring. He doesn't look demented all of the time, but he largely doesn't here because I woke him up and he wasn't up to any of his regular shenanigans! :-)

ReplyDeleteHe is a cute boy! If you are seriously allergic to cats, then you would be SERIOUSLY SERIOUSLY allergic to Zeus! His fine silky hair seems to really bother people with allergies! That would be so much fun, if you did!

What a beautiful, photogenic boy. His eyes are absolutely gorgeous. Cat cray always cracks me up. Marley loves to pinball all over the house and to watch him guarantees laughter.

DeleteI am not a cat person... mostly because I'm allergic... though my sisters are both cat lovers. I have nothing against them, but just love dogs. I love Zeus' eyes... gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteZeus is such a weird creature, that dog people tend to gravitate toward him, but people with cat allergies definitely keep away from him because his fur and dander seem to be particularly bad for allergies. His eyes are definitely gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteSo do you think he'd been planning a takeover of this particular spot, or was it maybe just a distraction or convenient place to park for a bit? Sometimes I do wonder about our little friends/supreme rulers. I looked out the door the other day and some orange caught my eye in the reflection off the back shed window- one of the cats was curled up fast asleep on the kitchen roof!
Isn't he ridiculous?! I suspect what may have happened is that the nearby high perch may have been occupied, and so he just decided curl up on the table since it is the leaping point to the high perch. I though it was so funny that he chose to snuggle up in a dish, though!
