If you are among the many people who seek healthier makeup alternatives, than the mainstream offerings, but you don't want to sacrifice efficacy or color saturation, then Osmosis Colour Makeup is very worthy of your consideration.
According to Osmosis,
Osmosis Colour Makeup is part of the revolutionary line of unique, alternative and innovative products created by Osmosis Skincare and Dr. Ben Johnson. All of the products from Osmosis are created to be results-oriented, yet safe and gentle for everyday use. Osmosis Skincare uses holistic theories in its production of incredible, results-driven professional skincare products and its unique line of cosmetics.
Osmosis Colour Makeup is a bismuth-free, mineral-based makeup line that's loaded with skin-nourishing antioxidants, amino acids and essential proteins, as well as zinc oxide for built-in UV sun protection. The special formulation goes on without that “heavy look” and it doesn't accentuate fine lines, wrinkles or large pores. It’s even safe for acne, rosacea and sensitive-skin types.
I have only tested Osmosis Lipsticks, Lip Glosses and Lip Glazes, but I am so impressed that I definitely want to venture further into their makeup line.
Osmosis + Colour Lipsticks ($22.00-$25.00 each from Dermstore and skintrends): Osmosis Lipsticks have a creamy texture, the perfect amount of cushion and long-lasting wear-time. I would describe the texture as matte, but without drying out my lips. I get about 5-6 hours of wear-time from a single application, but that generally is mitigated by coffee consumption– which undoubtedly lessens its longevity.
The two colors that I have, Skinny Dip and Passion, offer full opacity and rich pigmentation in a single pass. While they are formulated to hydrate the lips, my lips are currently perpetually chapped and I have been applying lip balm beneath all of my lipsticks and lip glosses. I therefore cannot currently weigh in on whether I find Osmosis + Colour Lipsticks hydrating.
Osmosis Lipstick in Skinny Dip is a gorgeous nude.
Osmosis Lipstick in Passion is a stunning fuchsia pink.
According to Osmosis,
Designed for all skin tones, each irresistibly creamy lipstick supplies a veil of color that lasts through the day without the drying effects of most long wear color. The vegetable based castor oil provides this eco-friendly hydration, keeping moisture close to the skin’s surface. Each shade’s advanced mineral pigment color gives these lipsticks their intense vibrancy along with a matte, cashmere soft finish. Silica helps to affix these lush longevity pigments on the lips with no feathering or smearing, while green tea and vitamin E supply antioxidant protection. Perfect for day or night, each beautiful sleek tube will fit easily into any purse or pocket.
Key Ingredients:
Castor oil - creates the creamy, emollient texture
Green tea and vitamin E - supply antioxidant protection
Ingredients: Castor Oil, Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate, Silica, Beeswax (Cera Alba), Octyldodecanol, Ozokerite, Lycium Barbarum (Goji) Extract (and) Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Camellia Sinensis Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E Acetate), Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl Glycol (and) Phenoxyethanol (and) Hexylene Glycol, Flavor. May Contain (+/-): Mica (CI 77019), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Carmine (CI 75470), Blue # 1 Lake (CI 42090), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850), Red # 22 Lake (CI 45380), Red # 28 Lake (CI 45410), Red # 30 Lake (CI 73360), Yellow # 5 Lake (CI 19140), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate (and) Silica (and) Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Calcium Sodium Borosilicate (and) Tin Oxide (CI 77861), Synthetic Fluorphlogopite (CI 77019).
Osmosis Lip Gloss ($19.00 from Dermstore and skintrends): I love lip gloss, but I'm not terribly fond of the sticky variety that acts as a hair-trap. My preference is a slightly thickened formula that boasts longevity without being tacky, but that also delivers some opacity rather than simply offering sheer coverage. I was pleasantly surprised that Osmosis Lip Gloss checked all of my boxes. Their formula is slightly thickened to really coat the lips and to offer extended wear-time, but it isn't in the least bit sticky. The two colors that I have Aura and Pink Sapphire, offer great color saturation, and a lovely high shine finish.
According to Osmosis,
The Osmosis Lip Gloss allows you to go from natural to high shine with transparent and rich lacquered colors. Keep lips soft and hydrated with a pleasant scent of grapefruit and strawberry.
Osmosis Lip Gloss in Aura is a gorgeous nude peach.
Osmosis Lip Gloss in Pink Sapphire is rich and stunning mid-tone pink.

Osmosis Lip Glazes ($18.00 each from skintrends): If you love high shine lip lacquers that aren't sticky and that feel exceptionally lightweight on the lips, then Osmosis Lip Glazes are a must-have! These beauties are gorgeous, long-wearing and a true pleasure to wear.
According to Osmosis,
These incredible long-wear lip glazes have a high shine lacquer look that will leave those lips glazed with color for the attention they deserve!

Osmosis Lip Glaze in Desire is a stunning vampy plum.

ReplyDeleteI am actually happy that they aren't happening at around the same time! It gives everyone a little time to decide what to get and to save some extra money for both events!
DeleteI'm from the UK, and not sure if we have this brand over here. Loving the look of the pinks though! X

Thanks for stopping by! <3
I have two of the lipsticks in different shades from yours, and I love them. They are long-lasting and matte on me, too. Unfortunately, my perpetually dry lips in spite of constant repair with lip balms find them too dry to wear right now, but hopefully, once the temperatures improve, I hope my lips will improve and I can go back to them because I love the shades. I didn't get to try the lip glosses and glazes, but I love Desire and Pink Sapphire. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI remember your lovely review, and the gorgeous colors you received. Yes, I know what you mean, my lips are so chapped lately!
DeleteI actually think that you would really love the lip glosses and lip glazes– especially the lip glazes this time of the year because they are very light and forgiving on traumatized winter lips!
DeleteI absolutely need to try this line!! I'm so into finding natural makeup, and I love the sound of these!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely do, Julie! There are so many wonderful products to try, too!
DeleteI've been wearing Osmosis blush every single day. It's become my favorite powder blush. The loose powder eyeshadows are great but don't get the use that the blush does.
ReplyDeleteI really really want to try their blush! That you love it, is a great indication that I will too! I really want to try their loose shadows as well! I am so impressed by their lipsticks, lip glosses and lip glazes that I definitely want to further explore their makeup!
DeleteAll those shades look so pretty, but I'm especially loving Desire!
ReplyDeleteThey really are gorgeous, and Desire is especially fetching!
DeleteI love these colours, especially Skinny Dip!
ReplyDeleteSkinny Dip would be absolutely GORGEOUS on you, Bailey! I love all of these colors as well! I am super impressed by the quality and longevity of their lippies!
DeleteThese look so nice! I got to review a couple of their eye shadows and I'd love to try the lippies, too.
ReplyDeleteThey really are lovely, Erika! I really want to try their eyeshades and blushes!
DeleteVery pretty shades.
ReplyDeleteAren't they lovely?!
