We all know first hand that the change in seasons can wreak havoc on the skin. If your skin is especially hard hit as the weather grows colder and drier– causing it to become severely dry and flaky– then Curél has some great ultra-moisturizing lotions to offer you relief. My current go-to choice is their Rough Skin Rescue and their Foot Therapy– both of which will get plenty of use in my household during the Fall and Winter months.

Curél Rough Skin Rescue ($6.99 for 13 oz. and $8.99 for 20 0z. from Drugstore.com 20 oz., Drugstore.com 13 oz., Amazon and Walgreens): While Rouge Skin Rescue was formulated with the driest skin in mind, which I do not have, I find that this formula works miraculously on my normal skin.  When the weather begins to cool down, I tend to seek very thick and rich moisturizers to lock in moisture, deliver deep hydration and to form a barrier to protect my skin against the elements, and this rich lotion does just that.  It leaves my skin soft, silky smooth, and ultra-moisturized. Furthermore, any dry bits are quickly transformed into supple, hydrated, and flake-free, skin. The fragrance-free formula disappears without a trace, and leaves skin feeling very comfortable.

Curél Foot Therapy Soothing Cream ($5.69 for 3.5 oz. from Drugstore.com, Amazon and Walgreens): I love a good foot cream, and I find little more comforting during the colder months than slathering a rich cream on my feet under thick warm socks during the evenings. Invariably, when I awaken the following morning my feet are soft and hydrated, rather than rough and dry. Curél's Foot Cream is a no-nonsense and hardworking cream that really keeps my feet soft and moisturized, and when used on a nightly basis, the results are irrefutable. It effectively keeps dry and cracked feet at bay– even if you have a tendency to run around the house barefoot all of the time, as do I.

Overall Assessment: Curél Rough Skin Rescue Smoothing Lotion and Foot Therapy are great choices to keep your dry skin at bay during the cold months of the year! If you have particularly dry skin, then they are both excellent choices all year long. A+ products that are effective and budget friendly.
