A Moment of Silence in Remembrance of 9/11
I felt compelled to take a moment for silent reflection to commemorate the lives lost on September 11, 2001. I like to visit the 9/11 Memorial website on this day, and thought that you might want to visit it as well: http://www.911memorial.org

yes, a sad day of remembrance
ReplyDeleteProfoundly so
DeleteIt's so wild that it has been that long, I remember it like it was yesterday.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem like it was yesterday! It's very hard to believe that it has been that long already!
DeleteSuch a sad day. I feel lucky to not have been directly affected by it, but my heart aches for those who perished that day and those who still have health problems due to exposure.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, it is! Such a wound that we all share.
Deleteprayers to everyone on this day of rememberance
ReplyDeleteBeautifully said.
DeleteA moment of silence indeed. This event holds a lot of memories for me, and it's hard to shake it off. Every.year.
ReplyDeleteI don't think any of us will ever be able to shake it off. Where you in New York at the time?
DeleteSo crazy, its been so long since its happened, but feels like yesterday.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully said, Eugenia!
DeleteWill we ever forget what that day was like? It made such a profound difference in how we felt as a country.
ReplyDeleteIt really did change the world for us!
DeleteIt's been 14 years, and I still cry on the morning of 9/11. So many of my friends lost loved ones that day, being in NJ meant many of us were directly affected. I thankfully was not, but the memory still aches deep in my heart <3
ReplyDeleteSuch a profound and permanent we all suffered, but for those who were there, or who lost loved ones– the loss is far more incalculable!
DeleteI still remember waking up to this on the news.
ReplyDeleteMe too, and I can still taste the disbelief and horror!
DeleteWe never forget. That was the saddest day
ReplyDeleteSo true!
DeleteI can't believe it's been so long, but the fact that it's remained such a respected memory (as it should always be) does speak to the good in humanity.
ReplyDeleteI know, it's pretty mind-boggling that it has already been 14 years– it feels like it was yesterday!
DeleteSuch a sad day.
ReplyDeleteUnquestionably one of the saddest that we have experienced as a nation!
DeleteThank you for posting this.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure. It was the only thing that I had the heart to post on 9/11.
