If you have ultra sensitive skin, Eczema, or Rosacea, and you seek a highly effective anti-aging cream that will soothe, rather than further irritate your skin, then TATCHA has created the perfect cream to calm, heal and lift your skin. TATCHA Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream is a miraculous healing cream made with Japanese Indigo and 3% Colloidal Oatmeal– both of which are highly effective ingredients that soothe, calm and comfort irritated and volatile skin. Furthermore, the ingredients chosen are highly effective for nourishing and moisturizing while simultaneously lifting and firming the skin.
While I neither have eczema, nor rosacea– my skin can become sensitive and irritated at times. Periodically, while testing out new products, my skin becomes irritated and reactive, and one of the hallmarks of this type of skin eruption is the appearance of product related dermatitis. When this occurs I develop unsightly (at least to me) small patches of dry skin that peel and flake. While this is a good barometer for products, or ingredients, to avoid it is unpleasant and difficult to treat– particularly if you want to avoid pharmaceutical medicines, as do I.
As luck would have it, I recently tested a few products that irritated my skin, and the end result was a little colony of dermatitis on my chin. While it was small, and not terribly noticeable to anyone other than me, it was troublesome. The moment that I identified what was going on I stopped using all of the products that I was testing, and saw this as the perfect opportunity to begin using TATCHA INDIGO Soothing Triple Recovery Cream. Having tried other products from the TATCHA INDIGO line, I already knew how effective and healing this collection was, but since the dry and irritated patches were on my face it only made sense to use their newest product in the INDIGO collection since it was specifically formulated for the face, neck and décolleté. Furthermore, this is also a very potent anti-aging cream that does far more than calm, soothe and heal irritated, inflamed skin.
I found that the results were astounding, and I am not exaggerating. I applied TATCHA INDIGO Soothing Triple Recovery Cream to my entire face since my skin felt uncomfortable, but I spent extra time massaging it into the dry patches on my chin, and my skin immediately felt comforted, soothed, calmed and comfortable. When I woke up the following morning my skin was glowing, lifted, and deeply moisturized. The dry patches were noticeably less irritated and flakey, and by the morning of the third day they were completely healed.
I continued using this cream day and night long after the dry patches retreated and disappeared, and I noticed that this was a supremely potent anti-aging cream that lifts, smooths, soothes and hydrates the skin. Additionally, it is nourishing, comforting, and extremely pleasurable to use. When used in conjunction with the TATCHA GOLD Camellia Beauty Oil (reviewed here), the results are truly amazing. This potent anti-aging duo leaves skin luminous, glowing, lifted, plumped and utterly gorgeous.
According to TATCHA,
Formulated for sensitive skin, this anti-aging moisturizer is rich in Indigo extract, Colloidal Oatmeal and Sophora Japonica extract, which calm, comfort, and restore skin's natural resiliency.
Our soothing blend of botanicals calms sensitive, easily irritated skin and reverses the signs of premature aging. Formulated with 3% Colloidal Oatmeal (the highest percentage available in a product of this kind on the market), skin is left comforted, supple and replenished.
For all skin types, especially sensitive skin showing signs of rosacea, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis or allergies. Non-comedogenic.
Use after cleansing or exfoliating. Can be used alone or over a serum. Perfect for use in the morning and evening on the face, neck, and décolletage.
While the cream is a gorgeous shade of indigo in the elegant royal purple glass jar, it imparts no color to the skin.

However, my skin is no longer irritated, and I have discovered that this is also one of the most potent and effective anti-aging creams! A more elegant line, I know not.
I should also note that I spent part of a lovely afternoon talking with TATCHA founder, Vicky Tsai, and she is among the loveliest people that I have met. Please take a look at the video below where she discusses TATCHA INDIGO Soothing Triple Recovery Cream on QVC.

As you know, Helen, I'm a believer when it comes to Tatcha's Indigo collection and I use all the products: the silky body butter, soothing hand cream, healing balm, and now this anti-aging triple cream. My rosacea prone skin has always responded well to this collection's combination of ingredients and so when I watched Vicky's QVC presentation, I immediately ordered it. I'm sure it had women singing "Hallelujah!" because, as Vicky mentioned, many of us were using the other products on our face even though they weren't meant for that area. We were just so determined to keep that indigo goodness going on our faces :-) Now we have a product that works well with our other skin care products, is moisturizing and anti-aging, and contains enough of that marvelous indigo concoction to keep our skin calm and clear. So far, I've managed to get through our So Cal summer without any rosacea flareups--knock on wood! I think the new triple cream is a great addition to the Tatcha lineup.
ReplyDeleteI always feel compelled to mention that the Indigo collection is for those of us with various skin conditions that need healing; conditions like rosacea, eczema, and inflammation and irritation caused by other types of dermatitis. If someone's concern is redness caused by broken or distended capillaries, this cream isn't going to help that. Only a trip to the dermatologist can erase that kind of damage.
By the way, unlike the body butter and hand cream that has the traditional Tatcha fragrance, this new triple cream has only a very, very slight natural herbal scent which is scarcely noticeable and which dissipates upon application.
Hi Eileen, Your thoughtful and deeply insightful comments are always such a pleasure to read! Yes, I know that you are a believer in their Indigo line, and that it has done wonders for your skin. I'm so glad that Vicky created this new cream because it is miraculously effective, and will offer relief and healing to so many people with Eczema, Rosacea and other skin issues. I am actually not at all surprised that you have managed to get through our So Cal summer without any flareups!
DeleteThat's is a very good point, broken capillaries will only be helped by a trip to the dermatologist, and there is nothing in a jar that will erase that damage.
Have you tried the new TATCHA sunscreen yet? I can't wait to try it! Given our experiences with TATCHA– I think that it is safe to assume that we will both love it! :-)
I have yet to try the new sunscreen. I probably won't get to it for a couple months as I just purchased a couple tubes of TIZO2 which is a wonderful pure mineral sunscreen made with transparent titanium dioxide and transparent zinc oxide. When I start running low, I'll order the Tatcha and give it a go :-) Have a great week, Helen.
DeleteI am about to start testing it, and am very excited. Based upon the description alone, it sounds truly amazing. Isn't that always the case with TATCHA products though?! The TiZO2 sunscreen sounds like a really nice product based upon its description and ingredients! I haven't tried it, but will definitely have to add it to my must-try list! I suspect that we will both love the TATCHA sunscreen! You have a great week as well, Eileen.
DeleteHello Helen and Eileen I love this cream so much I don't have any of the skin conditions that this treats but if my skin reacts to some new skincare this cream takes care of it until my skin gets back to normal. I love it. Also I've been testing the May lindstrom items and the honey mud cleanser, youth dew serum and the problem solver mask are must haves. I do love the jasmine garden mist but I think you always have those on hand and these items are different hope you ladies are well.
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa,
DeleteYES!!! That is precisely how I feel. It was a miracle worker on the product-caused irritation/dermatitis, and the overall appearance of my skin is so great from this cream that I can't stop using it! I'm so glad that you love it, and somehow knew that you would! You are definitely making me want to try the May Lindstrom products more than ever! Everything sounds so luscious! I hope that your week is of to a fantastic start! :-)
Helen I have a question for you a few months back I told you my skin freaked out after trying the late Somerville mega c dual serum and I stopped using it. Come to find out it wasn't the serum but the tatcha rice powder. I bought that some time ago and tested it out at the same time as their hydrating serum I have it away thinking it was the serum but it wasn't. I recently purchased both serums and love it. I pretty much have the whole tatcha line except for a few products and I love everything. I exfoliate all the time and never had this problem and love all tatcha products have you heard of anyone else's skin drying out after using it? I have 3 travel sized brand new and 1 big one and I ding want to throw them away?
DeleteHi Melissa! I remember that conversation very clearly. It's very interesting that it turned out not to be the KS Serum, but it is so strange that your skin is reactive to the TATCHA Rice Powder. Were you using it on a daily basis? If so, I wonder if your skin was reactive because it cleanses so thoroughly, and removes so much dead skin. Perhaps it was over-stimulating your skin causing it to dry out. I wonder if it you are allergic to an ingredient. I definitely wouldn't throw them out. Perhaps using it with less frequency, or maybe avoid using it with the Vit. C Serum– because the combination may be too much. You could also use it on your body for a super luxurious treat. The other thing that you might do is email TATCHA for a recommendation, or a possible cause. I wonder if the new Indigo Soothing Rice Powder is a better choice for your skin.
DeleteGreat suggestion I was thinking to contact them but I don't want them to think I'm rude or complaining cause I love their whole line so much. I stopped using the vitamin c serum and only use once a week as a reboot for my skin just like I use good genes and Luna. I only used the rice powder once just like I did a year back and that was what made me think it was the serums. Glad I figured it out cause I love the tatcha dewy serum now and wish i didn't buy it twice lol. i was wondering if the indigo line would be better for me since I love the feel and results I get before my skin goes crazy. I'll call tatcha thank you Helen as always your the best.
DeleteThanks! Never worry about seeming rude– they could never perceive you as being anything close to that. It is important to reach out to the company if a product causes a reaction in your skin. It may be something as simple as the ingredients in this didn't work well with ingredients in some of the other products that you were using, and that this combination was not compatible with your skin. However, it may be that there is something in that list of ingredients that your skin becomes reactive to, or that just causes it to dry out.My guess is that their Ingido version would be far more gentle. I would definitely call them to get their take. xoxox
DeleteI am finding Tatcha products to be awesome!! I have only tried a few, but I've so far been very impressed.
