While it is an unending source of pleasure and satisfaction seeing him so happy, I couldn't help but reflect on the fact that there was something to be learned from all of this. Cats live in the moment, and embrace whatever it is that they are doing with total abandon. I, on the other hand, was functioning somewhere between the present and the future– worried whether I had everything I needed to get out the door, and simultaneously imaging the future me a few hours later (and pondering all of the things that needed to get done during the day).
There is something so enviable about the ability to embody the life of a cat, but I suppose if we weren't at work, then Oliver wouldn't have a place to sleep without a care in the world!
I hope that your week is off to a wonderful beginning! =^..^=

Aww that is a happy kitty! :) Animals all live in the moment and yes, there is a lot to be learnt from that!
ReplyDeleteHe is a happy boy! We definitely have lessons to learn from them!
DeleteMy sentiments exactly, my dear one. Have a lovely week. I know its hectic and noisy at times, but then you look at the life of a slumbering cat and you pause, learn, and continue. Wonderful!

Exactly! It's a great way to remember to try not to internalize the many stresses that we experience in life! xoxox
DeletePlease don't tell Miss Lola, but...I'm kind of in love with Oliver!
ReplyDeleteI definitely won't tell Lola since she hates him!
