It's official, I am tumbling down the Mad Hippie rabbit hole! This line creates highly effective skincare products filled with healthy ingredients, and it is very affordable. After having waxed poetic about their lovely Antioxidant Facial Oil (reviewed here), I was excited about trying more of their products. My newest love from them is their highly effective and nourishing eye cream.
Mad Hippie Eye Cream is formulated to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine line, to treat discoloration, and to reduce swelling. The first test that every eye cream must pass, for me to continue using it, is the Milia test. If an eye cream even hints at giving me Milia then I stop using it. I am pleased to report that Mad Hippie Eye Cream did not cause any Milia, and therefore I was able to continue using it without reservation.
This is a lightweight and fast absorbing eye cream that leaves skin soft, supple, hydrated and lifted. It softens fine line, and has actually helped reduce the appearance of dark circles when I have them. Furthermore, I have noted that my skin appears more luminous and even in tone. There is no discernible scent that might irritate sensitive eyes, or displease people who prefer fragrance free skincare products.
According to Mad Hippie,
It is often said that the eyes are the windows to the soul…unfortunately, they are also the first area to really show our age. Genuine flower power natural antioxidants and active essentials work hand in hand to enhance your body's ability to heal and protect. By leaving out harmful chemicals, parabens, synthetic color & fragrance, Mad Hippie helps your skin achieve true harmony.

This is on my list to try after the success I've had with the AntiOxidant Oil. I love the sound of it.
ReplyDeleteThis is a definite must-try for you, Marcia! The quality is amazing, and it does exactly what it claims to do. As you might imagine, it pairs really well with their Antioxidant Oil! I can't wait for you to try this!
DeleteSounds great! I love that it can even tackle dark circles :-O
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa! It really is great. It definitely works on my dark circles, but as you know the source of dark circles determines whether or not topical products can do anything to irradiate their appearance. Thankfully, I have the type of dark circles that respond favorably to many of the targeted products on the market. This eye cream is so light, and yet extremely nourishing and hydrating. I am very impressed by the two products that I have tried from Mad Hippie, and definitely want to try more of their products!
DeleteGlad you reviewed this! I keep seeing this line at the local Whole Foods. I think this will be my next eye cream :).
ReplyDeleteHello, my friend! Yes, this is DEFINITELY worth picking up at Whole Foods. They should have a tester out, and I would encourage to try a little on your hand to feel it. I am very impressed by the two Mad Hippie products that I have tried (the other being their Antioxidant Face Oil that I just reviewed the other day), and I definitely want to stop by their display at Whole Foods to see what I would like to try next.
DeleteI think that you will be really impressed by this eye cream, and you really can't beat the price or ingredients! Keep me posted! I can't wait to hear your impressions! :-)
I have tested their oil before at the store to get an impression-the quality of ingredients and the price can't be beat! I still have a bit of my Fresh black tea eye concentrate left, but once I finish that, I know which eye cream will replace it. Your skincare recommendations typically work well for me (skin type and weather being the same). <3
DeleteOh good, I'm so glad that you tested it in the store! I still have, and love, the Fresh Black Tea Eye Concentrate! Check out Mad Hippie's Eye Cream in store to feel the texture to see if it is what you are looking for next, but I do think that you will really like it. Yes, it does seem as though we tend to gravitate toward the same type of skincare products, and the needs of our skin and the climate are both similar! <3
