I received numerous reader requests to swatch the Tom Ford Spring Collection 2015 Eye Color Duos, and so I took advantage of a short break in my work schedule to run out and swatch them for you.
According to Tom Ford Beauty,
Tom Ford engages a woman's light and dark sides in the Spring 2015 Collection with contrasting delicate daytime and intense nighttime metallics. Tom Ford Eye Color Duo Juxtaposes on opaline shade of jade, plum an indigo with its deep metallic sister shade. Plum and teal shades of Tom Ford extreme mascara and Tom Ford Nail Lacquer in Black Jade and Indigo Night intensify the dramatic tension.
Left to Right: Crushed Indigo, Raw Jade and Ripe Plum
Crushed Indigo
Crushed Indigo features an iridescent whitened blue and an utterly gorgeous blackened navy blue
Raw Jade
Raw Jade features a clean and crisp light spring green and stunning bronze kissed olive green
Ripe Plum
Ripe Plum features a flattering pale pink with dimension and a deep rich plum
Each of the six shadows boast creamy textures, apply effortlessly and offer buildable coverage
Overall Assessment: These are gorgeous duos, and if you love Tom Ford Beauty shadows, you might want to pick up one of these twinkling gem colored beauties!

I love the shimmer! Thank you for the swatches! xo Kelly mydazzlelight.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly! You are so welcome! Yes, the shimmer is definitely STUNNING!!!
DeleteLove the look of these but I'm afraid they'd be sparkly. The Raw Jade is calling me and it's 3x points at Nordstrom!!
ReplyDeleteRaw Jade is definitely super duper stunning– the Olive shade alone is worth the price of admission. I actually didn't find them over-the-top sparkly! Not like his glitter shades. These have more of a refined sheen finish than a fallout-laden glitter-fest finish. If you are going to do it– triple points is definitely the best time to do it! The olive shade is even more gorgeous in person! I would be thrilled to have the olive and navy shades alone!
DeleteIt's a shimmer more than a glitter!
DeleteRaw Jade is whispering my name... Melissaaaaaaaaaaaaa... Buy meeeeeeeeeeeee....
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa! Raw Jade is GAGAGAGAGORGEOUS! The Olive shade is utterly swoon-worthy! Raw Jade would be absolutely stunning on you!
DeleteI've been going back and forth on these =\ I love all three of them but I think they're seriously over-priced, even for Tom Ford. Plus every time I order a TF quad it arrives in pieces or the pans just fall right out. The quality control is SO poor in terms of the shadows. Ugh but they're so pretty. Damn. LOL
ReplyDeleteI definitely think that there has been inconsistency in the quads, but Nude Dip is an exceptional quality quad– and I think that its quality is far better than the older quads. I think that the quality of these duos is really good, but no question that $60.00 is high for two shadows. I think that it is only worth it if you would really use, and love, both colors. I thought that the quality might be meh, but they were quite creamy and lovely. I wish that I could buy the olive and navy shades alone!
DeleteLovely swatches! These look like great duos.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Courtney! The duos are really pretty!
DeleteI haven't seen any of the Tom Ford shadows in person. I loved seeing your swatches, Helen. All the deep shades are stunning, but the light shimmer shadows seem a bit wan in comparison, but perhaps they have more personality in person!?
ReplyDeleteTF Shadows are quite lovely. Some have a better creamy formula than others, but these duos are definitely on the creamier side. Thanks, Allison– I'm so pleased that you enjoy my swatches! The light shades are quite lovely, but the darker shades definitely impressed me more because they are shades that I would wear regularly. I would be thrilled to have the navy shade and the olive shade, but I personally would be less apt to wearing the lighter shades (not because they aren't gorgeous, but because they just aren't the type of shades that I tend to gravitate towards. Given the high price point of these duos, I think that you really have to wear both shades to justify the high price tag!
DeleteRipe Plum looks like me all the way. LOVE! I still don't own any Tom Ford products. That needs to change and soon.
ReplyDeleteRipe Plum is even more gorgeous in person, Laura! It's a super yummy combination! It would be stunning on you! Beware, my friend– I resisted the charms of TF Beauty for a long time, but once I fell down that rabbit hole there was no way back to my pre-TF beauty world!
DeleteRaw Jade is my #1 pick, let's see if I'll pull the trigger this time... Too many makeups lately ;-)
ReplyDeleteRaw Jade is gorgeous, and that olive shade is absolutely unbelievable! It would look amazing on you, Kath! There seem to be plenty of these duos around, so I don't think tha thou need to feel any sense of urgency on buying it!
DeleteWhoa these swatches are amazing! Super-pigmented and smooth. I wish I could get my paws on some of these.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Renu! THey are super pigmented with a smooth and creamy texture! Not having access to his line will save you lots and lots of money!!!!!
DeleteOh my gosh Lola, these are beautiful. I am always in awe with anything that Tom Ford comes out with... packaging alone gets me and now you add all that gorgeous shimmer...ooh!
ReplyDeleteAren't they lovely, Honey?! I am always in awe of his creations as well! The packing is always so alluring, and the shimmer is definitely the icing on the cake!
DeleteOne of each, please! But seriously, how gorgeous are these?! I think Raw Jade is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteThey really are gorgeous! The Olive shade in Raw Jade is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! All of the shades are gorgeous, but that one is really special!
DeleteRaw Jade is so lovely! Thanks for the swatches :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome, Kristin! I agree with you completely– Raw Jade really is gorgeous!
