Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil and Wipes | Review

 Press Sample (Unaffiliated Links)

Longtime readers know of my obsession with cleansing oils and facial wipes, and I now have two more to gush over! Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil and PreCleanse Wipes are gentle, highly effective, very pleasant to use, and very high quality.
Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil and PreCleanse Wipes
Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil is a lightweight cleansing oil that melts away makeup and lifts impurities with ease, and leaves skin soft and clean. I massage a small amount into my dry skin, and then add warm water to my fingertips and continue to massage. The addition of water causes the oil to transform into a thin milky emulsion that removes all of the makeup and dirt once rinsed off of the skin. I don't tend to wear waterproof mascara, but it did remove waterproof eyeliner with ease.

According to Dermalogica,

Deep-cleansing oil melts impurities and make-up from skin. Achieve ultra clean and healthy skin with the Double Cleanse regimen that begins with PreCleanse. Thoroughly melt away layers of excess sebum (oil), sunscreen, waterproof make-up, environmental pollutants and residual products that build-up on skin throughout the day with skin fortifying Olive, Kukui and Apricot oils. Add water to transform this hydrophilic (water-loving) formula into a milky emulsion that easily rinses debris from the skin's surface, allowing your prescribed Dermalogica Cleanser to penetrate even further for professional cleansing results. Formulated with conditioning Rice Bran and Vitamin E oils, this gentle blend can be used around the eye area to even remove waterproof mascara. Offers a deep cleansing ideal for even the most oily skin conditions. Formulated without artificial fragrances and colors.

Claims:
  • Removes oils without clogging pores.
  • Conditioning essential fatty acids nourish skin.
  • Enables your prescribed Dermalogica Cleanser to work more efficiently.
Directions: Dispense into dry hands. Massage over dry face and eyes to dissolve surface oil and dirt. Concentrate on areas of congestion or stubborn debris. Wet hands and continue massaging to create a light, milky emulsion. Rinse with lukewarm water. Follow with prescribed Dermalogica Cleanser for professional cleansing results.

Dermalogica PreCleanse Wipes are obsession-worthy wipes, and may I just say that I am thoroughly sold on these. Unlike many of the facial wipes that I have tried, these do not feel water-based to the extent that the others do. The PreCleanse Wipes are neither dripping with fluid, nor are do they require pulling and tugging the skin in order to remove makeup. Instead, theses oil-infused wipes effortlessly lift makeup and impurities with no effort whatsoever, and they leave skin soft rather than stripped. There is no need to tug or pull, but instead the ingredients do all of the work to remove every trace of makeup– you simply wipe away the dirt and makeup. Furthermore, these wipes remove every trace of makeup, and they do not irritate my super sensitive eyes.

According to Dermalogica,

Achieve ultra clean and healthy skin on the go with the Double Cleanse regimen that begins with PreCleanse. Formulated with skin-softening Aloe and Apricot oils, conditioning Rice Bran and Vitamin E, this gentle blend can also be used around the eye area to remove waterproof mascara. Offers a deep-cleansing ideal for even the most oily skin conditions. Formulated without artificial fragrances, colors or parabens.

  6. Now that cleansing wipes are all the rage, I noticed that so many brands come out with them, but they do not nail it quite so much. Dermalogica is a brand I used off and on for a few years and have enjoyed their products, so its exciting to hear that these did well.
