BITE Beauty Lush Fruit Lip Gloss in Peachy and Rambutan | Review and Swatches

Purchased by Me (Affiliate Links)

I'm sure you aren't in the least bit surprised to see that my penchant for BITE Beauty products led me to  investigating their lip glosses. It also wouldn't be presumptuous to assume that I am wowed by the formula. Therefore, after studying their shades at Sephora– and spending far too much time standing before their display– I chose two. Unsurprisingly, I came home with a peachy nude and a pink!

According to BITE Beauty, their Lush Fruit Lip Gloss is:

A highly pigmented lip gloss featuring healthy fruit ingredients that are delicious enough to eat. Like instant nutrition for lips, BITE’s Lush Fruit Lip Gloss contains the same healthy ingredients you’d find in a pure fruit smoothie: real coconut, mango, and strawberry infused with seven nourishing fruit oils. Rich, vibrant, and juicy, this modern formula is highly pigmented. What you see in the container is exactly the color you’ll see on your lips.

BITE Beauty Lush Fruit Lip Glosses are richly pigmented glosses that effortlessly glide across the lips and deposit color evenly. The consistency is a little thicker than some lip glosses, and it is surprisingly long-lasting by lip gloss standards (I get a solid three hours, if not longer). The gloss coats the lips thoroughly, and adheres with tenacity. While I would not describe it as sticky, particularly when compared to something like the MAC Lipglass formula, it has just enough tackiness to be long-wearing, but not so much as to be in the least bit uncomfortable. It has a light fruity taste that one notices upon application, but it soon dissipates altogether.
Peach is described as a baby pink, and I would say that is an accurate description of its color. It is neither too cool, nor is it too warm. It's just a perfect shade of baby pink. It is delightful alone, but also works beautifully on top of your favorite lipstick.

Peach Ingredients: Polypropanediol Dimer Dilinoleate (Vegetable Source), Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil (And) Hydrogenated Castor Oil (And) Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax (And) Beeswax, Pentaerythrityl Tetrabehenate/Polyhydroxystearate, Polyamide-8, Organic Coconut (Cocos Nucifera) Oil, Ricnus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil (And) Glyceryl Rosinate (And) Glyceryl Oleate (And) Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil Unsaponifiables. Formulated without: Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates.

Pure and nourishing strawberry, blackcurrant, raspberry, coconut, mango, apricot, and avocado oils: Fight free radicals that can cause aging of the lip line.

Trans-Resveratrol: Provides proven antioxidant benefits for long-term repair of the visible signs of aging.
Rambutan is described as a peachy nude, and that is precisely how I would describe it. This may just be the perfect peachy nude lip gloss that I have seen! It is infinitely wearable and flattering, and is neither too warm, nor too muddy as some warm peachy nudes can be.

Rambutan Ingredients: Polypropanediol Dimer Dilinoleate (Vegetable Source), Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil (And) Hydrogenated Castor Oil (And) Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax (And) Beeswax, Pentaerythrityl Tetrabehenate/Polyhydroxystearate, Polyamide-8, Organic Coconut (Cocos Nucifera) Oil, Ricnus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil (And) Glyceryl Rosinate (And) Glyceryl Oleate (And) Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil Unsaponifiables.  Top to Bottom: Rambutan and Peachy

Overall Assessment: What I don't need is any more lip glosses, but I certainly want more from BITE Beauty. I need to stay away from Sephora because just about every single time that I go there, I end up coming home with something else from BITE Beauty!

  1. Hahaha I'm not big on glosses, but I'm glad to hear you love these! I'm not surprised tho. Kinda glad I don't live anywhere near a Bite display :p

    1. Hi Sunny! You could probably resist the temptation of their glosses since you are a lipstick girl, but you would definitely find yourself purchasing more of their other products if they sold then somewhere near you! Perhaps it is a blessing that they don't! :D

  2. The one gloss from them I have I loved- felt great on lips, smelled great, but didn't stick around as long as I'd like. V typical with glosses though, and now I want the peachy one. Am LOVING their champaign agave lip mask! Feels so wonderful and nurturing, lasts forever and has the greatest hint of color.

    1. Hi Kirsten,

That's interesting that yours wasn't long-wearing! I find that these two are thicker than most of the glosses that I have, and they cling to the lips with considerable vigor. Peachy is definitely a gorgeous shade, and of the two it's my personal favorite. I completely agree with you about their Champagne Agave Lip Mask is AMAZING! You description is spot on!

  3. Maybe should fish out my old lipgloss and retry- it's been a while, and everyone raves so about the Bite glosses!

    1. It's definitely worth pulling out to see if you do or don't like the formula. I realize that BITE Beauty is enjoying serious raves in the blogosphere, but that doesn't mean that you will love, or even like it! I'm tempted by the new Smashed Agave Lip Mask that they only have online! I was hoping to try it in person, but they still don't have it in the stores!

As you can tell, I am completely obsessed with BITE Beauty, and have to keep myself away from Sephora to prevent myself from buying everything from the line! LOL!
