BITE Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick in Vouvray and Cava | Review and Swatches

…And so I continue my free-fall down the BITE Beauty rabbit hole! If you have yet to try their lovely lip products– may I suggest that you try one of their products this year because this is a truly amazing line. Each time that I go to Sephora, it seems that I leave with something from BITE Beauty! My new obsession is with their Luminous Crème Lipsticks, and so far I have purchased two.

BITE Beauty describes their Luminous Crème Lipstick formula  as, "a lush, long-lasting, moisture-rich lip color. This lip color delivers super antioxidant resveratrol, which fights free radicals with potent long-term anti-aging benefits. Each lipstick contains the amount of resveratrol found in five glasses of red wine."

This lipstick formula is absolutely stupendous. It is creamy and moisturizing, and it feels amazing on the lips. It is neither too thick, nor too thin, and it has the perfect amount of cushion. In fact, it feels so velvety smooth on the lips that I often find myself rubbing my lips together just to feel its magnificence!  

They glide across the lips effortlessly, deposit color evenly, and fade evenly. Color neither migrates, nor does it settle into lip lines. I find that they are long-wearing, and I get several hours of wear before needing to touch up. I only have two of the lighter shades, but they are very richly pigmented and offer buildable nearly opaque coverage. I suspect that the richer deeper shades may wear even longer, and certainly are more opaque than the lighter shades.

My first two purchases, I say this because I will definitely be buying more shades,  are Vouvray and Cava. I couldn't help but try shades well within my comfort zone for my first Luminous Crème Lipsticks. Vouvray is a very wearable neutral pink with a lovely sheen. Cava, which in the tube looks like it may have been intended for the High Priestess of the Zombie Apocalypse, is actually an utterly gorgeous pinky nude with a lovely sheen that is infinitely wearable. I also like to blend these two shades to customize a multitude of pinky nude hues.

Overall Assessment: Honestly, I love everything about this formula, and remain completely smitten with BITE Beauty. There are more of these lipsticks in my future, and my next purchase will be one of their vampy berry shades. BITE Beauty has quickly become one of my favorite brands for lip products, and yes– I still have a few more of their things to review for you!
