What's Trending on Lola's Secret Beauty Blog

There is no question that the felines in my family reign supreme. They are an eccentric bunch– even by feline standards, but they are an endless source of amusement and love for their human family members.

You probably remember my desperate plea to find a home for Miles, the gorgeous cat that my sister rescued from the streets of Los Angeles, and how my close friend Suzi lovingly adopted him– therefore, I thought that you might like to know that Miles continues to thrive. He couldn't have found a more devoted and loving human mom, and he is a very happy kitty.
Suzi bought Miles this truly amazing handcrafted cat tree, but Miles was far more interested in lounging  and sleeping on Suzi's his human-sized bed. After months of ignoring this cat tree, which takes up considerable space, Suzi determined that Miles was done with it and gave it to my savage crew.
From the moment that this cat tree entered our house it was a huge hit. There is always someone on, or in, this cat tree.  The kitties lounge, sleep and groom here. However, they also engage in multi-tier gladiator games that are so amusing, energetic and captivating for the humans in the house, and completely perplexing for the canines.  I wish that I had one of these in every single room!

What's a big hit with your feline family members?

  1. OMG SO JEALOUS!!! I've always wanted something like this, but the fact that we really don't have that much space has stopped me from taking the leap so far. It's hilarious how your kitties just take up one level each. The photos really crack me up :)

For the moment, HUMAN LAP is precious commodity in the house. Having three cats is a bit of a problem because there are only the two of us!

    1. Hi Sunny! It definitely requires a good amount of space, but it is well worth it, if you can squeeze it into a corner somewhere! It's an endless source of amusement for them! I know, it's pretty funny that they are each on their own level here! That's definitely not always the case though as they often double up and groom each other here as well!

The human lap is definitely a precious commodity when there are more cats than laps! <3

  3. How nice that Miles decided to share his cast-offs! And what a cast-off cat tree it is! My three would adore that thing too. One of their favourite playtime activities is to prowl through the plant bench and hide behind the foliage. How one hides a sizable feline derriere behind a mini jade tree, I do not know, but they seem to think it works. lol
The youngest is also fond of those carpet-covered numbers, like the one you've got in the corner. She likes to scoot hers all about the room- I noticed you've got wood floors too- do your cats drag/shove their carpet towers around all the time?

    1. Yes, Miles is a very generous boy for sharing it!

That is so cute that your babies prowl through the plant bench and hide behind the foliage! I can just see that sizable feline derriere peaking through the mini jade tree-LOL!!!!!!!!

Those carpet covered cat things are really appealing to mine as well. That is hysterical that your kitty likes to scoot hers around on the wood floors. Nobody here has learned that clever trick- ours mostly knock them over when they are sparring with each other! :-)

    1. I'm not at all surprised that Oz never cooperated by liking his expensive gifts. Cats are so opinionated about their likes and dislikes! My babies are definitely an insane bunch-LOL! Jasper was distracted by something and wouldn't cooperate by showing his sweet little face!

  5. I'm so happy for Suzi and Miles! How silly though that he doesn't like that cat tree. I mean, my GOD, is that kitty heaven?? What a weirdo ;) Worked out for your crew though! That is fantastic! That is the kind sh*t when it comes to cat trees!! :D My cats are drooling ....

    1. Me too, she's like another sister to me– so it's perfect that my sister and niece's kitty should have ended up with such a close friend! She and Miles love each other so much, and I'm so grateful about that! Cats are such funny finicky creatures, and I have no idea why Miles didn't take to this cat tree!! You are absolutely right– this is one seriously kick ass cat tree! I had never seen anything quite like it before until I saw it at Suzi's house, and when she later asked if my kitties wanted it I was thrilled! It's definitely a huge hit with our cats! I'm betting that your cats would love it if they enjoy kitty condos! :-)
