Phyto-C Skincare Velvet Gel is a nourishing vitamin-rich hydrating gel-based serum that was developed to nourish, heal and hydrate the skin while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is a gorgeous shade of pink, but imparts no color to the skin. 

According to Phyto-C, Velvet Gel is a nourishing and hydrating gel that provides, "extraordinary nutrition for skin cell repair." Furthermore, "it combines pentapeptide with multiple vitamins including vitamin B3, B5, B12" that "maintain the health of the skin while reducing the appearance of fine line and wrinkles. My Experience: Velvet Gel is a big surprise for me. I have a huge collection of serums, but none of them leave my skin feeling like soft, supple and velvety smooth the way that Velvet Gel does.  I had been told that this was a seriously obsession-worthy serum, but it wasn't until I tried it that I understood the extent to which this was a truly special serum.

It sinks into the skin quickly leaving it immediately feeling soft, supple and velvety smooth. I don't actually have anything to compare it to in this regard since the velvety texture lasts long after it has been absorbed my the skin. I really cannot sufficiently underscore the extent to which my skin is left feeling velvety soft and smooth. 

This antioxidant and vitamin rich formula, while very light, imparts superior hydration thanks to the Hyaluronic Acid. Fine lines are plumped and skin is left with the highly sought after ethereal glow. What I didn't really expect was that the combination of ingredients, which includes retinol, actually faded areas of sun damage on my décolleté after consistent use. 

Aside from the results, Velvet Gel is also a pleasure to use. It boasts extraordinarily high quality coupled with an amazing light and silky texture. For me, this combination of product efficacy and desirable tactile effects is what makes this a true stand-out product. I relish the time that I engage in my skincare routine, and I tend to choose products that are as pleasurable to use as they are effective, and Velvet Gel definitely satisfies my need for both.
