BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask in Champagne Pearl | Review and Swatches

Purchased by Me (Affiliate Links)

…And so my BITE Beauty love affair continues! The cold weather has me constantly reaching for nourishing lip balms to to either treat my chapped lips, or to stave of the drying effects of the cold weather. My most recent find to treat my lips is BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask in Champagne Pearl. It is described as an, "innovative lip mask that revives and rehydrates lips using a bio-active blend of healing antioxidants, including organic agave nectar, jojoba, and 15 mg of antioxidant resveratrol."

BITE Beauty asserts,

This lip mask improves the texture of lips so that they’re more hydrated, healthier-looking, soothed, and softer feeling. Infused with organic agave nectar, jojoba oil, and triple the amount of trans-resveratrol—the miracle antioxidant found in red wine—this formula heals and soothes lips.
BITE Beauty Agave Lip Mask in Champagne Pearl has a very very thick and dense consistency, and in fact my singular grievance with this product is the sheer difficulty in getting it out of the metal tube in which it is housed. You need to squeeze pretty hard from the bottom of the tube in order to dispense it, and it takes a while to coax it out of the tube. I think that it would work better in a pot, or in a wist up dispenser with a brush instead. The benefit of its thickness is that it coats, and clings to the lips with serious tenacity, and while it is a touch stick– I find it very comfortable on the lips. It leaves my lips soft, supple, nourished, and moisturized. The Champagne Pearl, described as a rose gold pearl, adds just a touch of peachy rosy color with twinkling goodness. The key to successfully using this product and reaping the benefits is by using a tiny amount. I have used it alone, and I have worn it on top of lipstick, and I like the results the I get both ways.

People either seem to effusively gush over the merits of this lip mask, or dislike it. Some people find it too thick and sticky, but I am not among them. I really like the texture and consistency. One thing that many people seem to agree upon is the difficulty in getting it out of the tube. I thought about massaging the tube to warm the contents in order make it easier to dispense the mask, but I'm worried that it will eventually weaken and break the metal tube.
Champagne Pearl is described as a rose gold pearl.
Key Ingredients and Attributes:
  • Resveratrol: Acts as an antioxidant equivalent to 15 glasses of red wine.
  • Jojoba Oil: Hydrates and heals skin.
This product is made with natural and organic ingredients, and formulated without Parabens, Sulfates or Phthalates.
Overall Assessment: I'm very happy with the Agave Lip Mask, and am now planning on buying their new Smashed Agave Lip Mask that is described as "a universal red-wine tint."

Or the last comment didn't show up at all. Oops.

I had said that I haven't tried any of the tinted versions yet, but I'm mad about the original lip mask! It helped me through the polar vortex last winter and I'm a fan for life! I wish they'd make one with spf so I could use it throughout the day!

    1. Hi Jessa! If you love the original version, then I would definitely try one of the tinted ones! What a great idea to add an SPF, you brilliant woman! :-)

I have to admit, I'll probably pass on the tinted ones... when it comes to lip color, I tend to wear bold or nothing, and on those rare occasions when I want subtle, I'm pretty much covered. But if they ever make that spf version, I'll never buy another lip treatment!

...Okay, that's a total lie. I love lip treatments and could never be monogamous with one. Right now I'm freaking out over the miracle that is the Osmia Organics Honey-Myrrh Lip Repair! I got it as an extra sample when I ordered samples of her face oils (I'm still deep in that particular rabbit hole, thanks to you!), and it's amazing! Just this morning I used a birthday gift card to buy the full size, along with a bottle of the Facial Calibration Oil!

    1. Haha– you and I both have the same love of lip products and face oils!

I couldn't agree more, Osmia Organics is absolutely amazing, and the Honey-Myrrh Lip Repair is absolutely exquisite! It is one of my very favorite lip balms. Their beauty oils are just amazing! I'm so glad that you used your birthday Gift Card to get the Facial Calibration Oil (TRULY AMAZING OIL) as well!

Wishing you a very very Happy New Year! <3
