Their blush formula neither emphasizes pores, nor does it accentuate any skin imperfections. Burberry Beauty Light Glow Natural Blush formula is a glorious long-wearing powder that is creamy to the touch, and it creates the highly sought after natural glow from within.
Earthy is a hidden gem from their Light Glow Natural Blush range not because it is unknown, but instead because for cool-toned beauties it is the perfect bronzer and contour that is nestled into their blush line. I am not suggesting that it won't be enjoyed by the warm skin-toned set, but instead that it singularly puts an end to the age-old hunt for a bronzer and contour that won't oxidize into a ghastly shade of orange on those with cool-toned skin.
I have owned and loved Earthy for well over a year, and can't for the life of me tell you why I am only just now reviewing it. I will say, however, that it looks far more used now than it does in these pictures!
A lightweight blush that gives the skin a bright fresh glow. Burberry Light Glow contains silicones for effortless and even application and wild rose extract for moisturizing benefits. The complexion glows with natural looking radiance. Apply to the hollow of the cheeks to slim the face or apply to the cheek bone to highlight.
Wild Rose (Rose Canina Fruit Extract) is included in the formula for its moisturizing benefits and its ability to impart a healthy glow. It does, however, also include fragrance which may bother those among you with a sensitivity to scented makeup. I happen to love the smell.
In the pan the shade appears to be a tan/brown neutral shade that neither leans too warm, nor too cool. For a very thoughtful review from someone with warmer toned skin than I-- please refer to my friend Sunny's review here.
In direct sunlight one can more easily see that there is no underlying orange hue.
Burberry 'Haymarket' Check pattern adorns the surface of the blush
Formula: This airy micro-powder ensures rich shades. Silicones provide an easy glide.
Benefits: An effortlessly natural fresh complexion and a healthy glow.
Protection: Provides moisturizing benefits.
On the skin Earthy has a very light sheen, but it is neither a true satin, nor a true matte. Instead it resides somewhere in-between. The texture is remarkably soft, and it just melts into the skin leaving behind the most natural finish.
Earthy will appeal to lighter to medium skin-tones, but if you have darker it may not show up enough to be worth the purchase.

What a great review! I love Burberry colognes and perfumes, I don't know why I didn't know about their beauty line! Thanks for the introduction. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jessica! Thank you so much for your kind words! If you love their fragrances-- then you should definitely jump down the rabbit hole of their lovely makeup! My pleasure!!!!! :-)
DeleteWow, talk about a luxurious looking product <3 it's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Deborah! Isn't it a beauty?! It definitely is luxurious! <3
DeleteI have never tried any Burberry products (I need a loan) but it looks stunning. Enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteHI Allison! Their blushes are truly amazing! Definitely not inexpensive-- I would have a huge stash if they were!!
DeleteThis is so pretty!! It doesn't look like much in the pan, but the swatch is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHi Brianna! You are so right-- the pan makes it look a bit meh, but it's really quite stunning when swatched!
DeleteHey Helen, I have this and love it, too! It's a good contour shade on me, not so much bronzer because it pulls rather neutral on my skin tone. I'm glad to hear it has put an end to your perfect bronzer hunt!
ReplyDeleteHi Sunny! I loved your review! It's definitely a great contour shade. I'm not surprised that it pulls too neutral to be an effective bronzer on you, but it looks amazing on you as a contour shade. It's definitely one of the rare bronzers (though a blush :) that doesn't oxidize on me. Nothing worse than an orange bronzer on cool skin!
Deleteperfect! Absolutely wonderful. I need it.
ReplyDeleteHow is your life my lovely one?
Isn't it absolutely gorgeous?! It's definitely worth trying, and if you can see the other colors in person you may find other shades that you cheeks will love!
Deleteperfect! Absolutely wonderful. I need it.
ReplyDeleteHow is your life my lovely one?
Good thing this posted twice-- since I only responded to have of what you wrote! Life is going well, but not without a healthy dose of stress. In addition, students are already blowing up my email asking for approval codes to add a class that doesn't start until January! How is your term going? I hope it is still blissful! <3 <3 <3
DeleteThis is so beautiful! I really need to try their blushes.
ReplyDeleteHi Brooke, You will LOVE their blushes! They are SOOOOOO finely milled and lusciously creamy dreamy. You need at least one of them!!!!!!
DeleteThis is gorgeous ! I need to send this post to Omar so he gets ideas for my stocking :)
ReplyDeleteHi Betzy, It really is gorgeous, and it would look amazing on you! I would definitely send Omar the hint! :-)
DeleteIt looks like a nice neutral blush / contour type shade
ReplyDeleteHi Courtney, It really is, and it is an especially good find for the cool toned people on a quest to find something that doesn't oxidize on them!
DeleteFancy reading you here, Phyrra! I know that between the two of you beautifully fair beautiful women, I'll get an unbiased opinion. I'm strongly thinking of picking up the Givenchy Contour in 07. I've been on the hunt for Chanel Ombre Contraste Sculpting Veil in Notorious for such a long while. People are unwilling to part with it. It must be amazing. Does anyone happen to have both the Chanel and the Givenchy for comparison purposes? Is there a known dupe for Chanel, if Givenchy is not my solution? (I'm also prone to migraines...and artificial rose/rose absolute fragrance seems to be at the top of my trigger list. Alas, if it were the perfect shade, beauty is pain...right? (No, not really). But my quest for Chanel has turned into an obsession. Thank you ladies. Have a fabulous day! All my best!
DeleteHi minibux!
DeleteAhhhh yes, Notorious! I still regret not buying it when I had the chance! I hope that they repromote it because I don't want to buy it for an over-inflated eBay price!
I wish that I had Notorious and the Givenchy Contour in 07 to compare the against Burberry Earthy, but of the three I only own Earthy. Because of your sensitivity to the Rose scent, I would definitely pass on Earthy. The only way that I would consider is if you have access to a counter and you can smell the blushes to see whether they smell too strong. I do find that the scent fades rather quickly, but I am not sensitive to that scent. I have a friend who is super sensitive to scented makeup and won't use Burberry or Chanel Joues Contrast blushes for that very reason. Do you have any Chanel JC blushes? There is a rose scent in them as well– so you may find that Notorious is too scented for you as well. Have a lovely day! :-)
Excellent review! This shade looks perfect for paler skin. I'll definitely have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bailey! It definitely is great for pale skin!
DeleteIs it bad that I want it just because it's Burberry? :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jamie! I certainly don't think so LOL!!!!! :-)
Deletethis is a pretty shade... but I don't know how it would show up against my dark skin. I'm not gonna lie... burberry... yup - that would be the reason to splurge ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Honey, It might make a gorgeous contour shade for you, but at this price point I would definitely want to swatch it in person before splurging. I think Cameo and Peony would be gorgeous on you! Here are the swatches:
Deletehttp://www.lolassecretbeautyblog.com/2013/01/burberry-light-glow-natural-blushes-in.html
I know just what you mean about Burberry being a good reason to splurge! I get weak at their counter!
What a neat pattern!
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteVery nice!! I didn't know they made beauty products!! I'm more warm-toned but this looks perfectly suited for cool tones!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Dani, Not only do they make makeup, but the quality is just amazing! They have lots of warm blushes, eyeshadows, lipsticks etc. Earthy, while pretty neutral, definitely works well on cool-toned skin, but I know several people with warm toned skin who have it and love wearing it. It might be worth swatching if there is a counter near you. :-)
