I am tempted, badly! I want swatches too :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Sara- I figured that this one might captivate you! I wonder how rich the pigmentation is. It's so hard to tell from the photograph!! I also wonder what kind of shade it would morph into when using the Couche de Couleur method? :-)
DeleteHi
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if it just me- but I have found that the last few kaleidoscope releases from LMdB look too similar!
I think they need to change it up a bit and add new POP colours that will make each release a bit more unique- or am I being a bit too critical?
I definitely don't think that you are the only person who feels that way-- I have heard lots of similar complaints.
DeleteWow it looks beautiful!!! Ok but what are the bag event details??
ReplyDeleteIsn't it pretty?! I am snapping a few more pictures to post right now. You get the bag with a $100.00 purchase, and a matching makeup bag if you spend $150. There are also a few samples inside, but not that many-- so the contents didn't seem terribly impressive. The picture is also SUPER small in the catalog. They also have 18 brand-specific "Step-Up" gifts with wildly varied buy in prices ranging from $65.00 for Clinique to $400.00 for La Prairie. The buy-ins seemed rather high in many cases-- with even Estee Lauder requiring $175.00 in purchases to get the gift. Nothing grabbed me enough to spend the extra money to get the gift. Had TF or LMdB participated- that may have been another issue altogether.
DeleteI have swatches ;). Would be happy to email them to you...my LMdB SA is amazing!! Btw, I love your blog, you got me started with Eagles Envy and I've been hooked ever since...I love the kaleidoscopes so much!!}
ReplyDeleteHi DocSmitty!! Yes please!! I would love swatches-- then I can post them! I'm so glad that you love my blog-- that makes me SUPER happy! :-)
DeleteHi, Different subject but you seem in the know. I was thinking Barneys an Blogdorf Goodman usually have a bag event about now. Have you heard anything?
ReplyDeleteHi Cynthia, I think that Barneys is doing theirs in October, but I am still waiting to hear back. I wonder if Bergdorf Goodman will do theirs soon since NM just ended theirs? As soon as I get any information- I will post it. Have a nice Monday!
DeleteOh I can't wait to see more swatches, now nice of DocSmitty. I don't want to buy this though so I hope that I don't like it. LOL
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! Isn't that generous?! I am grateful to her! I know- I spent far too much at NM-- so I am hoping to avoid additional temptations! :-)
DeleteHmm, these colors are a lot more muted than I thought they'd be. It's a fall palette, so it makes sense, but I pictured peach, a brighter sparkling plum, and maybe a dusty blue/periwinkle shade. i'll have to check these out in person. Thanks for the swatches!
ReplyDeleteThey definitely appear pretty muted, Christina. I guess it does make sense. I will try to get some additional swatches, if I can. If you get them first- would you mind sending me a picture? :D
