Jasper Approved Birthday Gift!

My husband kept asking me what I wanted for my birthday last month, and I kept saying, "nothing, I really don't want or need anything." Then it dawned on me that there was actually one thing that I really did want, and as you can see-  I have Jasper's official seal of approval! I definitely plan to have a lot of fun with it, and I hope that you enjoy the fruits of my labor!

      Thank you, sweetie! I am super excited about it!! Jasper is a super funny kitty! I don't know why they love boxes as much as they do, but they go bonkers whenever there is a box to investigate!

    I have a Jasper,and and Ossie (short for Ocelot). They are both classic tabbies, but look a lot like yours. One was born in my backyard and one found his way there! What is it about loving beauty and loving animals? They seem to be linked on a gene somehow, because I have noticed that beauty bloggers range from just loving their pets to actually being activists ins animal welfare. Good people all around I'd say. Just wanted to point out what has become obvious to me in the past few months of reading the blogs. Thanks for all your hard work.

      Hi Ellen!

      I love that you are Ellen with a Jasper and I'm Helen with a Jasper!! I love classic tabbies-- I have one- Zoe. My most beloved kitty, who died a few years ago, was a classic tabby. Sebastian was the most amazing kitty! Jasper, Oliver and Maximus are all actually Chausie cats (hybrid cats). They are Abyssinians bred with the Jungle Cat. The rescue organization where we found them suspected that there was a breeder who was getting rid of the ones that were "pet quality" rather than show quality. Horrifying to imagine!

      Definitely an interesting connection there. Maybe there is a genetic predisposition!! There certainly does seem as though beauty bloggers love and celebrate their pets on their blogs and in daily life. Activism for animal welfare seems to be the next logical step!
