I have mentioned Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine numerous times, and featured it in enough posts that I thought that I should talk about it in more depth before I actually use it up. It is so well-loved that it is nearly half gone, and no longer travels well because I inadvertently dropped it and cracked the lid. I purchased mine eons ago in a set with two other Korres Lip Butters (Wild Rose and Pomegranate) from Sephora for $19.50.
According to Korres, "This rich butter leaves lips deeply moisturized, supple, and kissably soft. Korres Lip Butters are formulated with natural oils and extracts to soothe and condition lips. Shea butter and rice wax provide lasting hydration and softness..."
The texture is thick and buttery, and it "melts on the lips and offers a shiny, tinted finish." I often apply this in a thin veil beneath lipstick, and then apply a bit on top afterward. Most often, however, I simply apply it alone. I get a couple of hours of wear, but I love it so much that I don't mind reapplying it. While I am quite fond of my other two colors- I really love Jasmine, and will no doubt repurchase it before making a significant dent in the other two.

Korres Lip Butters are definitely on my wishlist right now!
ReplyDeleteHi Tina! They are so awesome! You must try at least one!! xo
DeleteGosh it's like you are in my head or something!!! I JUST pulled this out from the back of a drawer when I was purging...about 1/2 full and I'm not sure how old it is but it still smelled lovely and oh how I had forgotten how wonderfully smooth and soft they feel on the lips!!! Yay for lip butters!!! I do like Guava smell a little better, but Jasmine gives such a nice little touch of perfect color :-)
ReplyDeleteWhy am I not even remotely surprised that we are on the same page-- yet again. or rather ALWAYS!!!! :-)
DeleteThis is next on my list after I finish off my giant tub of Nuxe!
ReplyDeleteI love this stuff!!! I have been wanting to try Nuxe as well as By Terry Baume de Rose! My Holy Grail is still Rodin Olio Lusso Lip Balm, but I do still use others!!!!
DeleteDo you like the Nuxe balm?
DeleteAs Kate says below Nuxe is a great winter lip balm. Super thick. When I wake up in the morning my lips always feel great! Totally try it!
DeleteThen that settles it- I will definitely have to try it! :-)
DeleteForgot to say, I love the new banner on top. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!!!! I'm so glad that you like it! It's actually a painting that I own-- I just cropped it down, manipulated the color and contrast a bit, and then added the text! :-)
DeleteI love this stuff in the Spring and Summer, it's so light and, yes, I don't mind reapplying it. For our brutal winter, I find that Nuxe, which is a heavier balm, is a better weapon against the cold, but I will forever be relying on both of them. Glad to see Korres getting some love- one of my favourite skin care brands!
ReplyDeleteI love it too, Kate! I imagine that it couldn't withstand a Canadian winter, though! It works fine year round in Los Angeles. Though truth be told it has been colder than usual this winter, and a heavier balm might curb my need to reapply so frequently! I will have to look into Nuxe! :-)
DeleteI love Korres mandarin lip butter stick :) I used to have these little pots but with a stick I found it more hygienic haha. The sticks were on ASOS earlier on and I snagged all of those XD
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for sometime but it's my first time commenting :) Thanks for your Burberry swatch posts all along!
Hi Jenni! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and leave a comment! I haven't tried their mandarin lip butter stick, but it sounds lovely- I will have to pick one up next time! You are right about the issue of hygiene- in that way sticks are preferable to balms in a pot!
DeleteI'm so happy that you left a comment!! You are so welcome for the Burberry swatch posts- I'm glad that they were helpful to you! :-)
