Dr. Loretta Rainforest Mist- Review

According to Dr. Loretta, "Rainforest Mist is a fantastic new product designed to hydrate and nourish skin as it smooths skin’s surface texture! Acai Berry, touted by medical experts like Dr. Oz as “The Age Reversal Agent”,  is combined with cocoa, an antioxidant that is 50 times stronger than grape seed and was used by the ancient Aztecs over 1500 years ago in their beauty rituals. This delightful mister is scented with a hint of chocolate to nourish, hydrate, smooth and help tighten skin surface. It is also a great to use on areas with cellulite, as the cocoa has skin smoothing benefits. The beneficial botanicals in this formulation have been painstakingly sourced from the rain forests of two continents to create a product that will lavish your skin and your senses with beauty and benefits."

Benefits:
  • Antioxidants and peptides to help reverse visible signs of skin aging.
  • Essential Fatty Acids, including Omega-6 and Omega-9, Vitamins A, C and E, and Resveratrol to hydrate and nourish the skin.
  • Acai Berry to preserve skin firmness.
  • Flavonoids to calm redness.
  • Essential amino and fatty acids help regenerate skin cells.
  • Beneficial extracts from the cocoa bean including caffeine which tones skin tissues and helps slow down the effects of distending skin as well as smoothing appearance of cellulite.
  • Cocoa polyphenols that help capture the free radicals responsible for the skin’s aging process.
How to UseHolding spray 6 inches from the face, pump 3-4 times until skin is moist.  May be repeated as needed including over make-up.  Works well for aromatic, hydrating, stress relief throughout the day.  Avoid contact with the eyes.
Rainforest Mist can be used on the face and body, but so far I have only been using it on my face. It feels so fantastically refreshing on the face, and it leaves my skin feeling supple, silky smooth and extremely hydrated. I definitely feel as though my skin is toned after use, but I haven't used it long enough to determine whether or not I can really see evidence of all of the anti-aging benefits that it is said to have. What I can say is that my skin looks and feels really good when I use this product. The Cocoa Extract is presumably what makes the Rainforest mist smell like cocoa butter- which makes smelling it a lovely sensory experience. Lately my skin has been a bit reactive because I have been traveling a great deal, and my skin has been rebelling against the soft water that I have been using where I have been staying. I have found that my skin looks and feels more balanced, and looks better after using this mist. This product is Paraben Free, but it does contain fragrance and Dimethicone for those of you that can't tolerate those ingredients.
Ingredients: Water, Propanediol, Glycerin, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Euterpe Oleracea Fruit (Acai) Extract, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Polysorbate 20, Tetrasodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin, Fragrance. Paraben Free.
Overall assessment: I really like this product- it is very refreshing and hydrating, and it makes my skin feel and look good. If you are sensitive to fragrances or silicones, then this product probably won't be a good fit for you. However, if you are looking for a hydrating spray that makes your skin look and feel great- then you might really like this product as I do. This is a really nice pampering spray with real benefits!

  1. This sounds so interesting. How long do you notice the cocoa fragrance?

    1. I would say that the cocoa fragrance is detectable for about 5 minutes and then it dissipates altogether-- at least to my nose!
