Burberry Teaser...

...A few things to look forward to!

  1. Ooo, can't wait to see what shades you picked out for yourself. Of course, I see you got one of my faves- Pale Barley, excellent choice! ;) Glad you got some of the single eyeshadows. So disappointed to find out from the few reviews I've read on the newly released quads that they are not of the same quality as the singles :(
Look forward to your thoughts on the products you chose, hope you really like them.

    1. You know, I was actually thinking about you when I was at the Burberry counter!! I think that you will approve of the other choices. I know that you have the other two eyeshadows (hint hint: they are equally as predictable choices as Pale Barley, and you recommended them both as well). I haven't touched the shadows or two of the lippies yet (I caved and tried one) because I want to be sure that I'm over this bug before sticking my fingers into anything!

What a bummer that the new quads aren't the same quality as the singles. I can't believe how creamy silky smooth the shadows are (when I bought them I did swatch the testers-- before I caught the bug).

I can't wait to try them all out!! I'm interested in trying one of their blushes-- do you have either Peony Blush No. 4 or Misty Blush No. 8? Or maybe both? If so which do you like better. I am a huge pink blush fan and would like to start out with one before losing my head.

    1. You have tempted me far too long with all of your Burberry reviews-- I finally caved! xo

  3. Yay! Can't wait to see swatches!! I'm so tempted to get a couple of the quads, but the reviews so far haven't been as great as I had hoped. Probably for the better for me...I generally like 1/2 of a palette and the rest goes unused! I was wondering when we'd see Burberry on your blog....tee hee :-)

    1. Right?!!! I have been resisting Burberry for a long time because I hardly needed to become a lemming for yet another luxury line, but I couldn't help myself!!!!

It's a shame that the reviews for the quads aren't great :-( However, you are quite right-- more often than not I find myself loving part of a quad and pretty "meh" about the remainder. It's not very economical if you only like about 1/2 of it!!!

    1. I totally caved, Boo!!! Their shadows are just like butta!!!! I have to get over this stupid flu so that I can start swatching and playing with them!!!!! :-)

    2. :( I'm sorry to hear you have the flu. It's kept me in bed for two days. Yuck! And as for caving... I caved to the siren call of Chanel Notorious. Oh my, if you haven't thought about it, you must. It is HG material.

I've also become enamoured with the Laura Mercier Artist palette. I do not need any more eyeshadows but it's so pretty! I have yet to swatch it, but I might not let myself do that as I should be focusing on gifts for others!

    3. I agree, this flu is a wretched beast!!

OMG-- Notorious has been beckoning me. I was actually just reading the review that Gaia wrote this morning!! Are you using it on your eyes as well as for contouring?

I haven't seen the LM Artist palette yet-- I certainly don't need any more eyeshadows either! Too many temptations!!
