Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics Supports Breast Cancer Awareness by Donating a Portion of the Proceeds From the Sale of Dusty Pink, Sherbet & Tulip Crushed Mineral Blushes- Information, Swatches & Review!

Just in case there weren't enough reasons to be madly in love with Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics- you now have one more good reason to be smitten with this amazing line! Click to enlarge Press Release from Youngblood.

In its ongoing support of national Breast Cancer Awareness month, Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics will donate to the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation a portion of its proceeds from the sales of Crushed Mineral Blush ($22.00 MSRP 0.10 oz) in Dusty Pink, Sherbet and Tulip.

Founded in 1996, Youngblood is the premier brand for the finest mineral cosmetics. Products are made without talc, oil, parabens, artificial fragrances or dyes. The Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation is an organization that works to eradicate breast cancer, and improve the quality of women's health through innovative research, education and advocacy.

"Dr. Susan Love and her team stand for many of the same principles our company upholds, including not testing on animals," says President and CEO, Pauline Youngblood, Who is a breast cancer survivor herself. "We admire their vision and are proud to support them in their goals."

Crushed Mineral Blush is highly pigmented to give cheeks and temples, a natural looking flush with buildable coverage. The loose minerals can also be used on eyes and lips. The three shades work on all skin tones: Dusty Pink is a sweet shell pink; Sherbet us a gold-laced pink-peach (and a top seller); and Tulip is a sheer baby doll pink. The specially designed sifter makes dispensing easy and precise.

"Sales of all three shades of Crushed Mineral Blush will help Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation continue its important mission of finding an end to this disease," adds Pauline.

Proceeds of the three shades will be donated beginning October 1, 2012, and are found at ybskin.com; NewBeauty at Fred Segal in Santa Monica, California; Henri Bendel in New York; and at select spas and salons; and by calling (800) 216-6133.

Youngblood Crushed Mineral Blushes are "ideal for contouring and giving that natural hint of color for the cheeks. You can even use Youngblood Blushes as and eye shadow or lip tint. To contour cheeks, jaw line, nose or brow: Choose a darker blush, such as Adobe. Apply with the Youngblood Contour Blush Brush, feather and blend, then choose a lighter color such Dusty Pink or Plumberry and apply to the apple of your cheek with a Youngblood Super Powder Brush. Using a swirling motion, softly blend the blush downward. Touch-dust overall with Youngblood Rice Setting Powder for the softest of looks. To highlight or brighten the eye area: Use Tulip, Dusty Pink or Coral Reef. Apply with Youngblood Eye Shadow Brush wet or dry. Mix or blend blushes, such as Plumberry, into your favorite lipgloss or lip balm."
Dusty Pink is a shell pink (shimmer finish).

Sherbet is a gold-laced pink peach (shimmer finish) (reviewed here).

Tulip is a sheer baby doll pink (satin finish).
Youngblood Crushed Mineral Blush is a very versatile high quality finely milled, and highly pigmented loose powder blush that is multipurpose.
Tulip, Sherbet and Dusty Pink sparkle and twinkle in the sunlight without being overly glittery. Instead they offer a gorgeous glow and luminescence that is immensely flattering.
From the moment that I swatched these gorgeous shades I thought  that each one was stunning, but that added magic could be achieved by mixing the three shades together in order to have an infinite number of color possibilities!
Perhaps the greatest surprise is just how silky smooth and ultra finely milled these mineral blushes are. One assumes that all loose mineral blushes are going to be about the same in terms of milling, but not so here. This is no ordinary loose mineral blush- instead this is a high quality luxury blush that boasts quality superior to any loose mineral blush that I have ever tried. I expected application to be a big messy endeavor that would require too much blending to be worth the trouble. However, I am thrilled to report that they applied effortlessly and blended perfectly and evenly with no effort at all.
I really love everything about all three of these gorgeous blushes, and I love that this is a fantastic multipurpose product. One of the greatest pleasures is mixing the three colors to customize your own stunning blush- all while supporting such an important cause.
Ingredients: Mica (CI 77019), Zinc Stearate, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Kaolin, Dimethicone. May Contain: Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Ultramarines (CI 77007), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Carmine (CI 75470), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).

Overall assessment: This is the highest quality loose mineral blush formula that I have ever tried. All Youngblood Crushed Mineral Blushes are so finely milled and beautifully pigmented that it is a real pleasure to use them. I simply cannot recommend Youngblood products highly enough-- this is an extraordinary company that makes exquisite products that are a true pleasure to use. Do you need these? Why yes you do!!

You can feel especially good about your purchases knowing that a portion of the proceeds are going toward Breast Cancer research-- which is a disease that impacts all of us, and that really needs to be eradicated.  My mother is a breast cancer survivor so this cause is near and dear to my heart.

Youngblood is Cruelty Free! A+ products without any reservation whatsoever.

  4. Tulip and Sherbet are so pretty! They seem very smooth. I am always a bit scared of mineral blushers that I overdo and look like a clown D:. I don't know why but I need some sparkles on me, now, in the fall and winter time. That never happened before, lol. Those seem to have soft sparkles, just what I need. I alawys went back and forth with this brand, had some products in my basket and then deleted. But i think it's time to finally get something <3 / Claire

    2. Twinkle ... that's the code word, I need them, lol. I try to use more organic/natural brands but I often find they lack in quality/pigmentation and the packaging is blah (I don't understand why 'natural and organic' means 'ugly' packaging). I do like the packaging of YB though. / Claire

  5. All 3 are beautiful, but I'm especially partial to Sherbet and Dusty Pink. However, I think it's genius that you mixed them to create the stunning pink! Love it!

I'm glad to see you're up and around too, hon. You're very strong to keep posting while going through such a difficult time. I appreciate the extra effort this post must have taken you. Hope you're feeling a little better at least! <3

    1. All three really are gorgeous! Sherbet and Dusty Pink are really lovely, but I feel as though Tulip accounts for the gorgeous dimension added to the three when mixed. I'm a huge fan of mixing-- so this is what I tend to do without much thought-- plus it really allows you to increase your color ranges so significantly!

Thanks for saying that, honey!! Everything is taking so much effort right now, but I'm trying to keep active rather than just crawling into a hole and crying hysterically all of the time (I do enough of that anyway- given that I still don't really believe that Emma died!). You really are a very sweet friend, and I am so appreciative that you care as much as you do! <3
