Susan Thompson Cosmetics is always perfectly on trend with each fashion season, however the glorious selection of shades are likewise classic and will therefore stand the test of time.  One of my very favorite lipsticks ever is her Creamy Lipstick in Cleo (named after Susan's grandmother), and it is the perfect vampy wine that can be sheered out or built up.  If you are a lip product layering fanatic, as am I, then you will see the wisdom in adding depth of color, and longevity by pairing your favorite lipstick with a liner and a gloss. I don't always do this, but more often than not I find the results worth the added steps. In this case, to ramp up the vamp I used MAC Night Moth Lip Liner (reviewed here), then Cleo, and then I added Susan Thompson Cosmetics Pout Poppers in Evelyn's Journey (named after Susan's mom).  Evelyn's Journey is the most beautiful deep plum sprinkled with little golden flecks that glisten and twinkle in the sun in the most magical way! If you love a vampy lip, then you will likely find this combination just as irresistible as I do. This is a very sexy combination that is sure to make your pout proud! If you have sensitive lips that do not do well with lip plumping products- then substitute Evelyn's Journey with a vampy lip gloss like Le Métier de Beauté Uma Paro Lip Gloss (reviewed here)-- it will have the same effect without making your lips tingle and plump up.

Overall assessment: Creamy Lipsticks and Pout Poppers are two of my all-time favorite lip products, period. I love everything about these formulas! They are so moisturizing and comfortable to wear, and they have the perfect amount of cushion. I love each any every color from this carefully edited collection of timeless colors, but right now I simply can't get enough of Cleo and Evelyn's Journey. ABSOLUTELY HOLY GRAIL LIP PRODUCTS!!!
