And the Legend continues:
Every night, the Enchanted Garden artists get to work with magic
pencils so that the Garden can transform itself with different colours
and moods. Metamorphose yourself just as easily into whomever you want
to be today, with FELINE GAZE eye pencils.
A darkly
elegant seductive feline? A mystical flower-of-the-hour doe-eyed beauty?
A deliciously sinful sultry almond-eyed goddess? Be pure temptation
itself, as you purringly write your own manifesto with this eye pencil
that adorns you. So soft that it almost melts on application, but will
stay put day or night, inviting closer inspection... dancing in the
memory of those who met you long after you've left the room and inviting
all manner of thoughts.
Rouge Bunny Rouge suggests that, "This formula embraces spherical polymers and waxes, giving maximum comfort with outstanding staying power. The colour release, with its beautiful creaminess and glide, is much higher compared to traditional pencils. Use for precision contouring along the lash line, soft blending by smudging with fingertips or brush, or for building smoky smouldering effects."
My love affair with Rouge Bunny Rouge is no secret, and indeed I could dedicate an entire blog to my unwavering devotion to this magical line. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that I'm a huge fan of their Feline Gaze Eye Khol formula (see my review of Vera here). My two more recent additions are Salome (perfect creamy matte jet black) and Delilah (Semi-matte aubergine, with a plum lustre). First, I must state that I was legally and contractually obligated to purchase Delilah since it is the name of my dog, and she has a keen eye for all things that "use" her name-- so she forces me to purchase all such things to see whether they are good enough to have earned the right to appropriate her name. RBR Feline Gaze Eye Khol in Delilah earned the right!
Salome is a very intense matte black shade, and once applied it stays put and really doesn't budge. This is the type of black eyeliner that Nefertiti would have happily worn, given the chance. It is creamy, elegant, intense, and simply stunning. It is a must have for those who love the intensity of a black eyeliner.
Delilah is a stunning aubergine that takes more work (a few more passes) in order to build up an intensity relative to that which occurs so easily with Salome. I find that Delilah is an intoxicatingly sexy shade that really makes my hazel eyes pop when worn in my lower lash line. I have had no issues of migration whatsoever, and I find this to be a delightful shade.
I have paired Salome and Delilah together with great success as well. I have applied Salome as a winged liner on the top lid and smudged Delilah into my lower lash line- and it's a gorgeous combination. I have also applied Delilah on my upper and lower lids and then thinly applied Salome on top of Delilah closer to the lash line (but not quite a tightline)- this is also a really lovely combination.
Small tricks courtesy of Rouge Bunny Rouge:
The soft
formula of the Eye Khol is perfect for a smoky look: smudge the pencil
line with your fingertip or with the RBR Sponge Applicator (# 015). Use a
lighter version of the Eye Khol (´Lola´ or ´Delilah´) to get a softer
day-version of smoky eyes.
For a perfect line,
slightly stretch the eyelid by lifting the outside edge of the brow with
your forefinger and place your middle finger or thumb on the outer edge
of your cheekbone with a slight downwards pull.
Apply the ´Salome´ (black) or ´Lola´ (brown) khol to the inner upper eyelid to really enhance the lash line.

Wow!
ReplyDeleteWhat great swatches! Lola looks specially amazing!
Thanks so much for sharing, honey!
XOXO
Catanya
Thanks, Catanya! Lola is definitely on my list on my next order. I do love the three RBR Eye Khols that I have (Vera, Delilah and Salome)-- I imagine that I will eventually end up with all of them! Thanks for stopping by!! xoxo
DeleteOh Delilah Delilah! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI agree!! She's such a pretty pretty shade!! True love, for sure!
DeleteThese look so wonderful. I've not met the eye liner that can last on me- at least not on my finicky water lines- but that aubergine shade looks so very tempting...
ReplyDeleteThey are both gorgeous! I wouldn't put Delilah on my water line though, it has too much pearl in it, and it doesn't glide as easily as Salome.
DeleteI am so enamored with Delilah--it's lovely! WHY don't I own an eyeliner in this shade?!? I need this RBR one...
ReplyDeleteIt's a super pretty color, Becca! I'm smitten with this color!! Vera is also GAGAGAGORGEOUS-- I have the link to that review in this post-- so you can see that color as well! <3
DeleteGoing through a huge eye makeup phase right now and love both shades! Will have to try RBRs someday. :)
ReplyDeleteYou will have to invite RBR into your life at some point. Maybe we can both find an RBR Fairy-- or if I find one-- then I can be yours! xxoo
DeleteDelilah is glorious. I've never considered an aubergine eyeliner -- this one is making me rethink my current stash-minimizing philosophy. Drat! Why did I have to ogle this post for the 3rd time?
ReplyDeleteI think so too! What's rather silly is the fact that I largely bought it because it's the name of my dog!! However, it wasn't much of a gamble given that it is Rouge Bunny Rouge. I am quite pleased with the color though-- a lovely aubergine indeed! ;D
