The new line of makeup by Sunday Riley that launched in November 2011 includes 6 different shades of the most refined blushes that are silky smooth, beautifully pigmented, and finely milled. They create the widely sought after "glow from within" effect that is both natural and flattering. The aim, according to Sunday Riley, is to achieve a "sheer, flushed radiance that highlights, defines, and enhances" but that is likewise long-wearing.
These oil-free blushes are created by employing a cutting edge Air-Milling technology that results in an extremely refined product that creates a smooth and even coverage. The pigments themselves are round in shape making them luxuriously silky and soft- imparting a flushed radiance. Light diffusers promote a natural and luminous glow that is just gorgeous.
Sunday Riley blushes are ultra finely milled and apply like a dream. Sunday Riley blushes offer buildable coverage allowing you to go from sheer to dramatic with a few strokes of the brush.
Blushing: Cool leaning blue-based pale pink. Pretty dusty rose. Very little shimmer. See my review here. |
Honest: Warm leaning golden peach with a touch of pink. Truly the perfect peach blush It is a light warm neutral shade with shimmer. See Marcia's (Beauty Info Zone) fantastic review here.
|
Intimate: Warm Shimmering coral-rose. See Charlestongirl's (Best Things in Beauty) review. |
Honeymoon Night: A deep warm rose |
Rush: a dark warm coral with a yellow-based reddish rose base. This blush nearly has a matte finish. |
After having received so many requests for swatches and descriptions of all of Sunday Riley's blushes- I decided to finally do it. I took many pictures in order for you to see how each color shifts in varied degrees of light. I realize that not everyone lives near a Barneys, and ordering sight-unseen isn't always fruitful- so I thought this would be helpful (particularly since I started receiving requests back in November of last year). Of the six shades the cooler leaning are undoubtedly Blushing and Dimples. The remaining four shades- Honest, Intimate, Honeymoon Night & Rush- are warmer- leaning. Oddly enough the bottom picture, taken in the shade, might have you believe that all six of the blushes are cool blue-based colors- they are not.

I've always wanted to try one of her blushes. The colors are beautiful and i find Rush very tempting.
ReplyDeleteHi Pang, The Wallflower, THey are really silky smooth and beautifully pigmented! I agree- the colors are really beautiful. Rush is gorgeous- I wish that I could wear it, but I am too cool toned!
DeleteYou already know I love Honest. I love Intimate almost as much. I have a sinking feeling though that I'll need Blushing one day too.
ReplyDeleteI do know how you love Honest and Intimate! Blushing is actually my very favorite out of all 6 of the blushes, and it is the one best suited for my cool fair coloring. At some point you need to cave and bring Blushing into your life!
DeleteWow Dimples has got to be mine! I have two SR shadows and now I need this blush and one of the lipsticks. Thanks so much for doing this!
