Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter is a truly decadent body butter, and Kiehl's is quite right in claiming that it is "luxuriously whipped" and "sinfully addictive." In fact, it more closely resembles an edible whipped butter over a body product- and it smells so good that you'll be tempted to take a bite! I like to use it right after showering while my skin is still damp- which not only gives added slip to the product, but also causes it to soak into the skin more quickly. It leaves your skin seriously moisturized, and smelling divine. My skin stays soft and supple all day with no need for reapplication. I do, however, keep a mini jar of this in my desk drawer and reapply it to my hands throughout the day after washing my hands. This is much richer and more luxurious than their Creme de Corps Body Lotion- which I used for a long time, but I really prefer the richness and the texture of this Whipped Body Butter instead.
•Luxuriously scented cream – light on skin, yet rich in 24-hour hydration.
•Decadently air-whipped for instant penetration to restore, protect, and soften skin.
•Quickly absorbed to deliver deep moisturization and leave a light, addictive scent on skin.
•No parabens, glycols or silicones.
The key ingredients are:
1) Shea Butter: is the natural fat obtained from the fruit of the African Karate tree and is widely used in lotions and cleansing products for its hydrating properties. Protects skin from dehydration, restores skin's suppleness and improves the appearance of dry skin.
2) Squalane: is a healing botanical lipid with a high affinity for skin to instantly restore and replenish.
3) Jojoba Oil: s extracted from the beanlike seeds of the desert shrub Simondsia Chinensis and has been traditionally used by both Mexicans and Native Americans for skin care purpose. It reduces transepidermal water loss without completely blocking the transportation of water vapor and gasses, providing suppleness and softness. It is nurturing for the skin and helps to restore skin's natural lipid barrier.
4) Beta-Carotene: is a naturally derived antioxidant predominantly found in many orange/red vegetables such as carrots. It is used in Vitamin A production and gives an orange tint when used in skin care products.
Overall assessment: Super yummy. This is definitely my favorite body butter right now. While there are certainly less expensive body butters on the market-- this one really wonderful. 8 fl. oz. $36.00 at Barneys and wherever Kiehl's is sold.
I have this too, it really is amazing! It smells SO good!
ReplyDeleteBut sure puts a dent in the wallet, in Canada it retails for $45.
I totally agree, Lindsey. It's a bit pricey here as well, but not as bad as the pricing in Canada. I don't think that it is fair that things cost so much more for Canadians!
DeleteI have never used this, but I used to buy a lot of Kiehl's products in the 90s, from their lip balm to the ultra facial moisturizer (the one supposedly used on Everest). I also had some of their homeopathic oils and the body lotion, which is too thin, but I do loves me some Kiels' and that looks like an excellent cream.
ReplyDeleteI used that body lotion for a long time, and I really really prefer this body butter. It is rich and thick, and the texture is oooooooooh so amazing. For some reason I have been obsessing on body lotions and creams lately, but this one has definitely caused me to lose interest in the others (for now at least)!! They have some really lovely oils. This body butter has definitely reignited my interest in Kiehl's!
DeleteThis is such a lovely body butter, and I have to try and stop myself from eating it :) This is my first product from Kiehl's but I will definitely be trying more from them!
