Erno Laszlo Antioxidant Complex for Eyes- Review

I recently rediscovered Erno Laszlo's Antioxidant Complex for Eyes, and had forgotten how much I liked this eye gel. It was created specifically to decrease dark circles and to reduce under eye puffiness. I do not tend to get under eye puffiness, but I do get dark circles- so I thought that I would revisit this formula to see if it still worked for me.

I actually store mine in the refrigerator so that it is a cool and refreshing treat- particularly for tired eyes that have been looking at a computer screen all day. The transformation for tired eyes is pretty miraculous, and I find that refrigeration is the key. My eyes can be very reactive and sensitive- and I never know what is going to set them off, but this has never irritated my eyes in the least bit (which is saying something).  Laszlo calls it a "refreshing eye treatment, packed with botanical extracts to deliver real results!" I will attest to these claims!

Key points:
• Dramatically reduces puffiness so you look less tired
• Improves elasticity for firmer skin around the eyes
• Strengthens vulnerable skin to protect from damage
• Lightens dark circles

I only tend to use this when my eyes are tired and need a little pick me up, or when I have dark circles. On the rare occasion that I do have under eye puffiness this really does help- especially when the gel is nice and cold. This product does have moisturizing properties- therefore it can be used as a stand-alone eye product AM and/or PM. However, many people will not find it rich enough to be used in lieu of an eye cream. Laszlo suggests that it can be used alone or  layered beneath an eye cream for added benefit.

The product itself is a clear gel with a green swirl of ingredients in the center that looks like a DNA Double Helix. I like that it is housed in a nice glass jar, rather than a plastic tube or pot. It is nice to see the contents, and it is also nice to know that plastic won't be leaching into the product over time.

Ingredients: Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Propylene Glycol, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Glycerin, Carbomer, Retinyl Palmitate, Saxifraga Sarmentosa Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Morus Bombycis Leaf Extract (Mulberry Extract), Glycosaminoglycans, Bisabolol, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium Edta, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Mica, Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Ci 77288 (Chromium Oxide Greens).

Overall assessment: I'm loving how refreshing this is and how good it makes my eyes feel and look. It is also nice that it has helped with my dark circles. I forgot what a nice treat this was! Erno Laszlo is Cruelty Free.

0.5 oz $55.00 at Nordstrom, and wherever Erno Laszlo is sold.
