If Happiness Could Come in a Box, This is What it Would Look Like: Part I Rouge Bunny Rouge

I received my Zuneta Rouge Bunny Rouge order last night!! I am so excited that I can barely contain myself. Naturally I will be reviewing and swatching everything, but I thought that I would share the RBR love with you immediately!

  1. I can't wait to hear what you think. Those photos are outstanding! I need a new camera; my macros are starting to look really grainy.

    1. I've been wearing all three all day, and I am in LOVE!! I have yet to be disappointed by RBR. Thank you- I wish the camera was ours- every time that I need to take some pictures I make DH bring that camera at his office home. He finally said "Let's just buy one of these!" It's one of those small Nikon COOLPIX. After property taxes- a new camera is at the top of the list!

    2. Ah, so it's a digital SLR? Mine is a simple Canon PowerShot, but DH just today ordred a Canon Rebel T21 with both a telephoto and macro lens. He takes beautiful pictures of mountains and I suggested he upgrade. I might borrow his for my product pics.

RBR is certainly a luxe brand, and Sweet Dust is so beautiful, as is Gracilis, though I find the blush to be a tiny bit too muted for me.

How sparkly is the loose glitter pigment? I've been curious about that for ages.

    3. It's the Nikon Coolpix 58000, not an SLR it's one of the small compact digital cameras they make. II think it is about the same as your Canon Powershot. OMG I would love something like the Canon Rebel T21! Your picture quality is always outstanding, but you should definitely use the Rebel when you get it!! Ah the difference that resolution will make with mountains and lipsticks alike!

Sweet Dust is gorgeous, and so is Gracilis I like them both a tremendous amount. Though I would agree that Gracilis is a touch muted for me as well. Clean clear pinks always work the best on me.

I was really afraid that the loose glitter might be a bit of a glitter bomb, but it's actually quite a refined sheen. It's not the kind of glitter that only teenagers can pull off. It produces a really lovely glowing effect. Of course I have only worn it for one day so I will wear it a bit longer before coming to any conclusions. It is such a GORGEOUS shade of taupe!!

    4. Thanks for the link. It makes me happy that compact cameras, which take such good pictures, are so affordable these days.

Mr. Petals' Rebel arrived yesterday! I noticed this morning that he charged the battery last night after he got home from work, and I can't wait to see it. I will definitely test it on my makeup, where my closeups are looking a bit grainy. I might even practice on my flowers when they start blooming. If I like it, I will just have to get one of my own.

    5. I completely agree! THey have come such a long way. In fact iPhone cameras even come such a long way! I love it when really good technology becomes affordable! THink about what flat screen TVs cost when they first came out, and now the quality is better and the prices are so much cheaper!

Oooooooh new camera!!! You have to try it!! It will most certainly blow the socks off of this little Nikon I have been using. I would definitely opt for something like that Canon than Mr. Seicento's work camera. Oh do post the blooms!! My lilac tree is just starting to bloom!!

  2. The RBR line has always intrigued me. If only it was available in the US. I hate buying products that I haven't seen yet.

    1. Oh Jackie you should really give RBR a try at some point-- you really won't regret it!! It really is of the highest quality and oh so obsession worthy!!! Zuneta periodically has 20% off sales that really sweetens the deal! There are lots of swatches online- this is a brand that you need in your life!!

  3. Nice! I was just thinking about this last week and if you have ever used RBR. I got a couple samples last month - the foundation and mattifying primer. There customer service is excellent! I want to try their liquid highlighters - Sea of Clouds I believe and the loose pigments. I really really want Abyssinian Catbird but every time I go it is not there. People say it will come back abut then be out of stock quickly. I was hoping it was around in Feb. when they had 20% off but no such luck :( I'll keep waiting.

    1. I'm nearly irrationally in love with RBR-- in fact if I had to choose just one line for makeup it would be RBR! Do you like the samples that you got? The customer service is outstanding! YOu will LOVE Abyssinian Catbird-- it's GORGEOUS and silky smooth! I think the reason that they have been backordered for so long because RBR has been trying to get their new eyeshadow palettes done and ready for the launch. I have been trying to order Solstice Halcyon since last year when it first became back-ordered. Customer Service told me that they hoped that it would be back in stock in April, but that they thought the new palettes were causing the slow down. Can't wait for the new palettes!!!

They will have more 20% off sales! That certainly takes the bite out of the pricing! I'll keep waiting too!
